Elon Musk said he will resign as Twitter CEO after finding “someone foolish enough to take the job!”

The news comes as a poll run by him gave the result that he should be ousted.

However, the billionaire said he will continue to “run the software & servers teams” even after his replacement.

This suggests he may still have a big say in the platform’s decision-making.

More than 17 million users took part in the poll, with 57.5 percent voting for Musk’s resignation.

The billionaire kept silent for almost a day before making the announcement following the results.

He also stated that future polls will be restricted to paying Twitter Blue subscribers.

Twitter has been making several abrupt decisions recently, like banning and then unbanning links to other social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Mastodon.
