Nike jobs have delayed the release of its Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack shoe collaboration with Travis Scott following the deaths or injuries of dozens of people during his Astroworld concert.

The shoe's release date has been pushed back to December 16 via Nike's SNKRS app, just 10 days after a crowd rush during a concert in Houston sent dozens of young people to the hospital jobs, including a number of children in attendance. Scott, who has promised to pay for the funerals of the victims, had already collaborated with Nike on a number of sneaker designs before the tragic event.

Out of respect for everyone impacted by the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival, we are postponing the launch of the Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack,” Nike announced today in a statement posted within the SNKRS app.

Nike isn't the first company to postpone a project with Scott since Astroworld. The Houston Rockets canceled their planned "Travis Scott Night" last week, in which the NBA team planned to give away thousands of limited-edition shirts during a game against the Detroit Pistons. Instead, the team held a moment of silence to remember the victims. Ten people have died due to their injuries, including two high school students and a nine-year-old boy.

Over the last few years, Scott has collaborated with a number of well-known brands from various industries. He announced a collaboration with Dior for a 2022 fashion collection this summer. He collaborated on a meal with McDonalds jobs last year. Collaborations with Epic Games, Playstation, Mattel, and General Mills have also occurred. Epic has removed its in-game music icons from Fortnite since the Astroworld event. Meanwhile, the online therapy company Betterhelp has offered a free month of therapy to those affected, and Cactus Jack, Scott's record label, will cover the costs.

Astroworld attendees have reportedly filed several lawsuits against Scott and music promoter Live Nation. In a tweet on Nov. 6 after the Astroworld concert, Scott wrote that he was “absolutely devastated by what took place last night.” My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival,” he wrote. “Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support families in need.”
