Accounting / Office Assistant
StaffBuffalo is
actively assisting one of our clients in their search for an
Accounting / Office Assistant. This full-time position offers a salary
range of $50,000–$60,000 per year and provides a fantastic opportunity
to grow your career with hands-on training. The ideal candidate will
be adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to the daily
operations of the accounting department, including Accounts Payable,
Accounts Receivable, with back up for payroll, and HR tasks. This role
is well-suited for someone early in their career who is looking to
build a diverse skill set and gain hands-on experience in multiple key
areas.
A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and
attention to detail are essential. The candidate should thrive in a
collaborative environment, supporting the accounting team and other
departments as needed. Proactivity, flexibility, and a team-oriented
mindset will be key to success in this role, which offers
opportunities for growth and increasing responsibility. This position
is designed to help the candidate become a valuable team member with
expertise across AP and AR functions, and are interested in stepping
in for some payroll, and HR functions.
This is an in-person,
on-site position located in the Buffalo area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with
Accounts Payable tasks, including invoice processing, vendor
communication, and payment tracking.
- Support Accounts
Receivable functions, such as invoice creation, payment tracking, and
report generation.
- Provide payroll backup by verifying
employee timesheets, data entry, and supporting payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HR
documentation and onboarding processes.
- Organize and manage
calendars, handle general office tasks, and assist with special
projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative or support experience; open to
candidates eager to learn and grow.
- High school diploma or
equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Experience with QuickBooks or
payroll systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both
verbal and written.
- Highly organized with the ability to
manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to handle
confidential information with discretion.
