Are you a strategic leader with a passion for managing complex projects, driving successful outcomes, and building strong client relationships? We are seeking a Finance Director to oversee the financial and operational aspects of high-volume projects and lead a talented team. Offering a competitive salary of $130,000–$150,000 per year, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to make an impact.

As the Finance Director, you will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, taking full ownership of their projects and leading a team of Project Managers, Coordinators, and Analysts. You’ll oversee financial disbursements, track project milestones, and maintain strict data integrity while ensuring top-tier client satisfaction. This role demands strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with competing priorities. Whether you’re stepping into a client meeting or strategizing with your team, you’ll play a critical role in driving successful outcomes and fostering trusted partnerships.

This is an in-person position in the WNY area.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee high-volume project management processes, ensuring smooth coordination of financial operations and disbursements.
  • Lead and support a team of Project Managers, Coordinators, and Analysts, providing training, direction, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Own and manage relationships with key clients, including financial institutions and large organizations, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns proactively.
  • Monitor and maintain project progress, data accuracy, and case reconciliations while delivering regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with onboarding and technology teams to ensure seamless execution and accurate setup for all assigned projects.
  • Provide strategic leadership on key project milestones, fostering collaboration and efficiency across teams.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, financial strategy, or legal operations.
  • Deep understanding of the finance landscape and client success.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, delegating tasks, and achieving successful outcomes in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated success in managing client relationships, addressing concerns, and providing timely solutions.
  • Familiarity with legal project management software, QSF systems, and other relevant technology platforms for managing mass tort cases preferred.
