HUD Grants Fiscal Administrator

Fiscal Administrator position, with a competitive salary range of
$73,000–$6,000/year (depending on experience), offers an exceptional

In this role, you
will manage all fiscal processes for HUD grants, ensuring that
departments comply with all federal regulations. You will be
responsible for reviewing expenses, authorizing fund drawdowns, and
overseeing financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have
a deep understanding of HUD regulations, a CPA license, and a passion
for ensuring the integrity of financial operations. You’ll contribute
to the development of new systems and processes, as well as improving
existing ones.
This is an on-site, in-person in Buffalo, New
York.
Responsibilities:
- Review
and analyze HUD expenses to ensure compliance with federal
regulations.
- Manage drawdowns of HUD funds and ensure
accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and implement fiscal
procedures to maintain compliance across departments.
- Improve existing systems and introduce new procedures to
enhance financial operations.
- Prepare and submit financial
reports for cash flows and related functions.
- Interact with
auditors and monitor compliance with HUD regulations, policies, and
procedures.
- Provide leadership and oversight for the team as
the role evolves.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience in accounting,
auditing, or financial management, with a focus on non-profit
organizations.
- Experience with HUD regulations, single
audits, and auditing processes is essential.
- Strong
analytical skills with the ability to prepare and analyze financial
records.
- Ability to develop and implement fiscal procedures
and reporting systems.
Education
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a
related field, including or supplemented by 24 credit hours in
Accounting/Auditing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise-wide financial
systems and software such as MUNIS, HANSEN, or similar.
- Proven ability to manage and supervise teams, particularly in
financial or audit settings.

- Must live in the City of
Buffalo, or move to the City of Buffalo within 6 months of hire.
