We are currently seeking a highly organized and efficient Payroll Clerk to join our team and help us manage payroll for our rapidly growing company.

Position Overview:

As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately and timely processing employee payroll and maintaining payroll records for all team members. This role also involves analyzing data, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and providing support to the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner

- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees

- Calculate deductions, commissions, and bonuses as per company policies

- Review timesheets and resolve any discrepancies

- Maintain accurate payroll records and files

- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits

- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations

- Prepare payroll reports for management as needed

- Assist with setting up new hires in the payroll system

- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to update employee information and resolve any discrepancies

- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing

- Proficiency in payroll software, such as ADP or Paychex

- Strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
