OPWDD Behavior Consultant

Consultant position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your

With a competitive pay rate of $31-$32 per hour, this role provides
the perfect opportunity to enhance the quality of care and support for
individuals in both onsite and offsite respite programs.
As an
OPWDD Behavior Consultant, you will be responsible for a broad range
of clinical duties, including providing team consultation, conducting
behavioral assessments, developing and monitoring behavior support
plans, and training staff. You’ll collaborate with a team to improve
the lives of individuals by implementing best practices in behavioral
support.
This is an on-site, in-person role in the Western New
York area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Data-Based Behavioral Consultation by
collaborating with teams to develop and implement behavior support
plans and interventions, ensuring accurate progress tracking and
treatment consistency.
- Perform direct and indirect
descriptive analyses, summarize findings, and provide actionable
recommendations to teams.
- Create detailed and timely
behavioral reports, including progress summaries and treatment
revisions as necessary.
- Develop systems to track the success
of behavioral protocols and the reliability of treatment plan
implementation.
- Provide training for behavior support plans
and crisis intervention strategies, ensuring staff effectively apply
best practices.
- Serve as part of the crisis team and lead in
crisis intervention procedures when needed, ensuring proper techniques
and the safety of individuals and staff.
- Participate in Life
Plan meetings and ensure behavior support plans align with individual
goals and needs.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in assessing, developing, and
implementing behavior support plans for individuals with developmental
disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis methods.
- Master’s degree in Special Education, School Psychology,
Behavior Analysis, or related field.
- Certification as a
Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is preferred. First Aid, CPR,
SCIP-R, and Ukeru certifications required (training provided).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with
the ability to present data and reports clearly. Ability to manage
multiple priorities and provide effective behavioral support to
individuals in a variety of settings.
- Ability to complete
fingerprinting clearance, as well as a valid NYS Driver’s License.
- May require some local travel between locations, with the
ability to drive to various locations using personal vehicle.
- Position does require work outside of regular business hours.
