Maintenance Team Member

StaffBuffalo is excited to partner with a
mission-driven and well-established property management group in
Western New York to hire a reliable and skilled Maintenance
professional who shares their passion for people and places. This is a
full-time, on-site role in the Buffalo area, offering a competitive
hourly wage of $22 to $6/hour, depending on experience.
In
this position, you'll play a key role in supporting residents by
responding to maintenance requests, keeping building systems in
excellent condition, and working alongside a collaborative team to
ensure a high standard of care throughout the property.
This
is an on-site, full-time position in the Buffalo area.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily
property walks of property to remove debris, identify safety issues,
and ensure all areas are functioning properly.
- Review and
prioritize daily work orders, attend planning meetings to coordinate
tasks.
- Address maintenance needs promptly, starting with
emergency issues and urgent requests, followed by routine and
preventive tasks.
- Communicate with residents professionally
and clearly, using door tags and summaries when completing in-unit
work.
- Collaborate with fellow team members on property-wide
projects, remodels, and shared maintenance goals.
- Respond to
emergency maintenance issues as part of an on-call rotation and follow
all protocol for reporting and resolution.
- Support apartment
turnarounds during move-outs and move-ins by inspecting and repairing
vacated units.
- Utilize the property’s digital maintenance
system to track, complete, and follow up on all assigned tasks.
- Complete required safety and compliance training, including
pool certification and internal training modules.
Qualifications:
- Previous
experience in maintenance, construction, general repairs, or related
trades is preferred.
- Must have a basic toolset including
screwdriver set, pliers, Allen wrenches, voltmeter, hammer,
multi-tool, etc.
- On-Call Rotation: Ability to respond to
after-hours emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation;
Must be able to receive calls after hours, weekends, and overnight
while On-Call.
- Keep property and curb appeal
maintained meticulously.
- Familiarity with maintenance
software and ability to track tasks and updates.
- Strong
communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- A
team-player mindset with the ability to work independently and take
initiative.
- Willingness to work flexible or extended hours
during high-turnover periods.
- Pool certification required
within the first 60 days (training provided if needed).

- Hourly Pay: $2 – $2 /hour based on
experience.

rate for approved extra hours.

job posting, that our client would be willing to pay for this
position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has
education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements
for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated
range.
