Vice President of Technical Sales & Business Development

salary range of $150,000-$200,000 annually, this is a prime

As
the Vice President of Technical Sales & Business Development, you will
lead a talented team, shaping innovative strategies to expand market
presence and identify new business opportunities. This role blends
technical acumen with strategic insight within an exciting new wave of
technology, enabling you to align engineering-driven solutions with
strategic customer needs while mentoring a solid high-performing team
to achieve outstanding results.
This is an on-site, in-person
in Western New York and requires minimal domestic and international
travel to support business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and
inspire the sales team with a strategic and customer-focused approach,
fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Identify new market
opportunities and product applications to expand the company's
portfolio and customer reach.
- Serve as a technical mentor,
equipping a skilled team with guidance in account management, contract
negotiation, and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with
engineering, marketing, and other internal teams to develop cohesive
business strategies and partnerships.
- Drive revenue growth
through data-driven decision-making and a commitment to delivering
value to customers.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive direct sales
experience, including international markets.
- 7+ years in a
sales leadership role, ideally within a technical or
engineering-driven industry.
- Strong understanding of
technical solutions, ideally supported by an engineering background.
- Exceptional communication, mentorship, and strategic thinking
abilities.
- Adept at using CRM/ERP tools and platforms that
support data analysis and market insights.
- Ability to have
some occupational travel <25% if necessary.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in
Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Technical sales acumen is preferred.
- Advanced degrees, such as an MBA or equivalent.
