Acloche is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to engage with
community organizations to create meaningful partnerships and organize
Associate recruitment activities throughout Northern Central Ohio.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organizes, schedules, coordinates, and participates in job
fairs, school/community events, interviewing functions, open house
recruiting events, and other applicable events and locations
- Prepares appealing and engaging postings for open positions
and recruiting events, posts on free job posting sites as needed, and
submits job postings and event details to HR for posting elsewhere as
needed.
- Develops and maintains numerous outside recruiting
sources and regularly participates in recruitment outreach activities
to increase brand awareness and community engagement.
- Acts
as recruiting liaison with outside contacts to develop strong ongoing
relationships and community partnerships.
- Works with Market
Manager(s) and/or Regional Director to forecast employment needs and
assist with the development of decentralized recruitment
plans/calendars.
- Identifies and tracks effectiveness of
recruitment sources and events specific to the area assigned, and
adjusts and adds recruitment sources as necessary to meet recruiting
needs.
- Recommends, distributes and monitors recruitment
advertising options and promotional materials for assigned area.
- Drafts content and verbiage for recruiting materials (flyers,
social media postings, etc.) that will be created and branded by
marketing department.
- Continuously researches and implements
new and innovative recruiting sources, methods, and ideas for assigned
territory.
- Provides guidance to applicants seeking
employment opportunities in assessing their career goals.
- Provides guidance to internal staff in choosing suitable
candidates for specific positions.
- Maintain a positive
presence in the local marketplace through consistent participation in
networking organizations and events
- Complete other duties as
assigned
A successful Community Engagement Specialist
must have: considerable skill in networking and community engagement
techniques; a significant understanding of various industries; and
knowledge of human resource policies, labor regulations and federal
and state laws regarding employment practices.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three (3) years community engagement or personnel
recruiting experience with demonstrated ability to creatively source
partnerships and candidates
- Previous marketing experience,
including but not limited to strategic identification and
implementation of sources, social media engagement, and use of various
digital marketing platforms and methods
- Demonstrated
communication skills, both verbal and in writing
- Ability to
forge successful professional relationships and work in a rapidly
growing, fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize work,
handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set goals and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, specifically
EEO, FLSA, and ADA
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed
records
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
(intermediate skill level with Word, Excel, and Outlook; basic skill
level with PowerPoint)
- Must have a valid driver’s license,
reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
Compensation includes salary negotiable based on previous
experience, comprehensive benefits, paid holidays, and PTO plan.
