Controller

This
is an on-site, in-person role, in the WNY area.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and
manage the accounting department, including supervising a team of 2-3
people.
- Lead monthly meetings with managers and deliver
detailed financial reports to senior management.
- Manage
project documents, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with third-party accountants to ensure compliance
and maintain financial accuracy.
- Develop and implement
financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus
in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Sage 300;
experience in project accounting is highly preferred.
- Strong
leadership abilities, with the capacity to delegate tasks effectively
and manage diverse personalities within the department.
- CPA
is not required but is considered a plus.
