Job Description
Supplier Quality Engineer for Aerospace Forgings, Closed Die, Rings, and Metal Powder Manufacturing. This role is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in Forgings processes who can translate that expertise into effective supplier quality improvement strategies. In this position, you will drive quality for assigned suppliers, including implementing quality plans, selecting and qualifying suppliers, owning First Article Inspection results, driving supplier compliance to Source substantiation Plans, and owning supplier results by driving improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. You will own the execution of supplier audits, ensure compliance, and lead corrective plans where needed. A deep understanding of key business drivers is essential; use this understanding to accomplish own work and support cross-functional cross-business collaboration.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Managing supplier development - responsible for supplier processes, from initial qualification, maintenance, and necessary improvements driven by business quality needs. Support suppliers in reaching optimum quality and industry standards of excellence.
+ Position includes regular supplier audits and system assessments for quality preparedness and process controls to remain adherent to GE process specifications and agency regulations.
+ Develop in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Use prior experience and acquiredexpertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
+ Impacts projects, processes, and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment but may require more senior levels of guidance
+ Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years quality experience) + minimum of 3 years quality experience

The base pay range for this position is 94,400-125,900. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. The Quality Control / Quality Assurance Team Lead will provide quality control reviews for functions supporting the Debt Management Collection Services (DMCS) program.

DMCS Contact Center Quality team is an essential part of the DMCS program. Its objective is to utilize operational techniques and activities to satisfy quality requirements. Education & Experience Requirements
• Technician III: Vocational training and 5+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required; OR high school diploma/GED with 7+ years experience in a relevant work environment.
• Technician IV: Vocational training and 8+ years of experience in a relevant work environment is required; OR high school diploma/GED with 10+ years’ experience in a relevant work environment.
• Additional training and or knowledge in the quality auditor field and procedures is desirable
• Computer skills in MS Office and Windows operating system.
• Experience in developing and maintaining records and to follow projects through to conclusion
• Ability to obtain ISO 9001 Auditor Certification
• Ability to review and evaluate specifications, procedures, and processes
• Ability to communicate effectively and cross-functionally in production, support and corporate areas on a regular basis.
• Self-motivated and exhibit the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must understand the Quality Policy and how it relates to this job
• Must understand the relevance and importance of the quality activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives.

With that knowledge, they create a comprehensive test design and define the test data that will provide the most test coverage. They know how to perform manual testing, can spot areas where automation might be suitable and can document detected flaws concisely and with enough supporting information to accelerate the resolution. Coordinates all of the planning, execution and recap functions involved in testing and injecting quality safeguards into the development and deployment of software applications. This individual may direct other QA professionals or may be the sole resource on an effort. They are responsible for fostering collaboration and cooperation with the greater project team in the pursuit of delivering a high quality product.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Test & normalize requirements, write test scripts, triage test results, conduct exploratory testing, and specify test data requirements.
* Works closely with BAs in grooming sessions to ensure comprehensive requirements and partner with SDETs to ensure thorough test coverage for the application.
* Leads the QA team for a project and is answerable to all activities conducted to ensure quality.
* Oversees the quality in all phases of the project including Requirement review, test script preparation, and test execution and recap.
* Identifies gaps and confusions in the user interface and/or the workflow , etc and highlights to the project team the risks associated with technical debt, schedule slippage or other areas of concern.
* Schedules resources, estimates QAS portion of project estimates and forecasts, manages testing needs with Shared Services, manages the PLC tollgates, calculates and manages traceability and test coverage, assist with test result triage, reports on overall application/project health and intercedes, when appropriate, with remediation efforts.
* Creates a collaborative partnership with the Tech Lead, the PM, the BAs and other project participants and actively engages in grooming sessions, status meetings and other project meetings. Highly valued as a thought leader contributing to the final product.
* Manage the human capital for a specific effort.
* System integration testing
-Regular regression testing of system functions
-Collaboration with multiple different engineers, testers, Quality Assurance teams both inside and outside the department
-Test Data harvesting and management
-Detailed organization and managing of disparate systems that interface or have various complex timing, data dependencies or batch executions
-Ability to translate design, UX, requirements into actionable test cases that can be executed, document how to execute them, prerequisites and test conditions
-Ability to define and mockup both positive and negative scenarios, as well as work on edge case testing
-Ability to work well in fast passed environment
-Excellent communication skills written and verbal
-Ability to estimate efforts, inclusive of unknowns and ambiguity
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certifications:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
Experience:
* Moderate quality assurance experience with solid organizational skills and a basic knowledge of quality assurance practices and methods.
* Understands the test automation coverage and guides exploratory testers to fill the gaps.
* Base understanding of an application domain, the release schedule, the user community, and can work with the other members of the project team to drive delivery.
* Understands how to assess an application's functionality by risk, impact and importance in order to prioritize the test execution and concentrate test coverage appropriately.
* Understanding of basic object-oriented programming and ATDD (Automated Test Driven Development).
* Expert knowledge of the application, its front and back-end composition, its features and capabilities and its planned future state.
* Experience testing complex systems with a focus on the users' perspective.
* Experience in day-to-day operations of quality assurance techniques and can collaborate with other functional teams to review and elaborate on functional requirements, design test scenarios and specify test data.
* Experience testing in a fast-paced schedule.
-Test Automation Selenium / WebDriver io scripting experience a plus
-3 to 5 years or more in QA testing role(s) preferred
-Experience in Agile team
Competencies and Skills:
* Able to leverage the resources available to them to identify the opportunities for automation, service virtualization and other shared services offered by QA.
* Good communication skills.
* Able to lead in all phases of the project and can communicate with others in the organization about the status and risks of the effort in detail.
* Advanced skills in test design and specific experience in writing Gherkin scripts, knowledge of ATDD processes and tools for web and mobile applications.
* Superior quality assurance and analytical skills with basic knowledge of web-based technologies.
* Must be able to see the big picture but capable of drilling down to the details to identify the range of testing scenarios, the critical functionality and the areas of greatest impact.
* Expertise in exploratory testing.
* An aptitude for problem solving and able to triage defects and pinpoint potential source(s) of error.
* The ability to test variations when encountering an unexpected result so as to pinpoint the issues(s) and provide advance diagnostics when a defect is first logged.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand technical details and how they translate to a user.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $68,000 to $103,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
