4 ten-hour shifts, days to be determined upon need. Can consider 5 8-hour days Monday through Friday.
**This position is eligible for up to a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus!**
Responsibilities:
- Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate.
- Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
- Care of outpatients in our pre and post and intra procedure area for such specialties as Endoscopy, Vascular, Urology and Interventional Radiology.
- Excellent IV skills
- ACLS
- Document information into EMR patient records in a accurate manner, legible, and timely manner, team player.
- Previous endoscopy experience preferred.
- Prior critical care experience preferred, med-surg required.

Annual salary range: $32.00 - 45.50

POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) is a vital leadership role that provides on-site expert consultation to Patient Care Services Staff in clinical situations. The CSN is responsible for teaching and supporting staff in developing advanced patient care skills that may require additional education or clinical certification. Additionally, the CSN has specific direct patient care responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide guidance and assist staff in developing clinical skills and solving complex patient care problems.
- Teach and support staff in initiating access and managing intravascular therapy.
- Deliver direct care in selected complex patient situations.
- Engage effectively with staff and managers to reach collective decisions.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To excel in this position, an individual must satisfactorily perform all essential duties outlined in an annual competency assessment. EDUCATION: Graduate of a professional academic nursing program; a BSN or actively pursuing a BSN is preferred. Must hold current RN registration or a limited permit to practice in New York State.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong communication abilities are essential for interacting effectively with patients, families, staff, and others. This includes active listening, seeking input from others to achieve consensus, and applying problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
