Position overview: The Buyer is responsible for ensuring materials are availability on-time to support our production, new product introduction and R&D schedules. This role involves managing inventory levels, supporting material demand, product changes, resolving supplier matters and collaborating with stakeholders. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment, be a self-starter and the ability to prioritize tasks and projects to meet timelines. You will closely monitor the supplier's relationship with current and potential supplier, negotiates prices andterms, and ensure quality, price and delivery standards are met.
This role is also responsible for ensuring consumables and materials such as components, supply items, tooling, etc. are available for production, maintenance, and material handling operations.
Responsibilities:
- Place purchase orders for procurement of materials based on requirements driven by the forecasts, production plans, and R&D.
- Maintain relationships with existing supplier and develop relationships with new suppliers by leading quote development, supplier on-boarding and monitoring.
- Foster strong relationships with internal customers. Act as the primary interface with production, and material handling.
- Identify material requirements, execute purchase orders, follow-up on deliveries and adhere to inventory stock levels.
- Develop material status reports and provide updates to manufacturing and R&D teams.
- Set up and manage safety stock levels and optimize material replenishment schedules.
- Utilize inventory tracking methodologies, analyze data and take appropriate action.
- Manage efficient material change process by coordinating the specification change and driving the implementation plan that prevents material shortages or excess scrap.
- Support Incoming Quality Control to ensure components meet defined quality standards and requirements.
- Work with quality and engineering on supplier corrective actionsas required.
- Request and process Returned Goods Authorizations.
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications.
- Monitor and report on-time delivery, purchase price variances, supplier quality performance, monthly.
- Maintain accurate records and documents related to all purchasing activities.
- Improve purchasing and planning processes through LEAN principles.

The Essential Functions Of This Position Include The Following

- Manage current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements

- Meet or exceed key metrics of days on hand, gross inventory, plant and supplier on-time delivery, days payable outstanding, cost savings, cycle count accuracy, supplier invoice on-hold metrics, and profit plan/budget forecasts. Manages inventory levels in order to meet established inventory & Day-on-Hand targets
- Ensure the accuracy of physical inventory to assure the timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining inventory levels that are beneficial to the overall operation of the company

**Your future duties and responsibilities:**

- Provide training updates relevant to analysis for unit-level leaders in the execution of current Logistics and Supply Chain processes and procedures.
- Provide logistics support services, which include draft policies, and procurement system services within the Procure-to-pay, Plan-to-stock, Acquire-to-Retire, and Order-to-Cash business processes, including the exploration and utilization of Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
- Conduct analysis on various Table of Authorized Material Control Number (TAMCN) end items on Total Life Cycle Management, mean time before failure, sustainment costs, problem class IX consumables, and overall readiness trends.
- Determine trends and process improvements through analysis of key supply performance indicators, e.g., analysis of supply readiness posture of TAMCN end items, analysis of excess
**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**
Mandatory: Eight years of full-time experience (including internships) providing logistics and supply chain management related services
Bachelors degree or additional four years of experience (12 years total) in lieu of degree

Job Description
Reporting to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis the Director FP&A - Supply Chain will play a key role in leading financial planning, analysis, decision support, and reporting for end-to-end supply chain activities, including product costing, inventory management, and logistics. This role will serve as the finance lead to the Production, Planning, Merchandising and Logistics teams. The Director will bring financial expertise, operational acumen and leadership to directly influence key business decisions, drive efficiencies and support the companys financial objectives.

- Provide financial direction and strategic support for supply chain operations, including costing, inventory management, and logistics.
- Oversee and implement comprehensive financial planning process for supply chain, including budgeting and forecasting, and support long-term strategic planning, aligning with company objectives.
- Partner with Supply Chain leads to align financial goals with operational strategies. Provide financial insights that support cost optimization, service level improvements, and scalability.
- In partnership with Production, Merchandising, and Planning, establish financial margin and inventory targets to achieve the financial plan, monthly OTB, and ad-hoc analysis. Deliver actionable insights to improve margins and working capital efficiency.
- Support inventory lifecycle strategies including markdowns and excess and obsolete.
- Collaborate with Planning and Merchandise to evaluate the financial impact of new categories and ensure channel merchandise plans align with financial targets while delivering commercial business needs.
- Provide financial oversight into capital expenditures, supplier negotiations, and third-party logistics partners.
- Enhance financial models to support gross margin forecasting, tracking, and reporting for both in and future seasons.
- Define and measure KPIs (e.g. cost/unit, IGM, freight and duty costs, inventory).
- Collaborate effectively with accounting teams to ensure accuracy and alignment on cost accounting processes related to inventory, COGS, warehousing, and logistics. Ensure accurate reporting and alignment with GAAP and internal policies. Assist with audit support and risk mitigation strategies in vendor and logistics operations.
- Support system implementations/enhancements (e.g. ERP, EPM tool). Drive the development and implementation of financial tools, models and dashboards, enhancing efficiency and data accuracy.
- Partner with the Business Intelligence team to develop KPI-based dashboards and expand financial reporting, leveraging existing technologies to automate financial reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university in accounting or finance.
- Certified Public Accountant or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in consumer goods or another inventory-related field, at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
- Advanced analysis and excel skills, and familiarity using and extracting data from various systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking with a natural curiosity to find the answer.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
