JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions
Read, understand and follow process instructions.
Process all heats to customer specification.
Clean molds using tube cleaner.
Set up mold tubes, install stools, hot tops vacuum and stage for use.
After melting operation is completed and cooled, number heat in proper sequence.
Perform knock down of tubes from mold racks.
Stage bar stock properly for transport to bar line knock out press.
Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs on equipment in work area including the dust collection system.
Position requires use of a manipulator to maneuver and stand on tubes on end to be put in frames. These tubes vary in size from 3" to 7 1/4" and weighs between 71 lbs. and greater than 300 lbs. The lighter tubes can be manipulated up to 140 times a day. The larger tubes (5 ½ to 7 1/4) can be moved up to 72 times per day. There are team members available to give assistance as necessary.
Perform any other duties as assigned by Team Leader or Supervisor.

**THE POSITION**
As a **Lead Chemical Process Engineer** here at Honeywell, you will use your knowledge of chemical process engineering fundamentals to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will collaborate with world-renowned engineers to impact developing groundbreaking projects, expanding existing processes, and developing the next generation of Advanced Materials products by designing, testing, and validating products from pilot scale to market. + Support PreFEED and FEED development for projects including process scope and design solutions for growth, cost savings, and HSE projects
+ Develop process models, heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout, basic control schemes, and equipment specifications
+ Identify and mitigate technical and process safety risks during design
+ Provide onsite technical support during project construction, commissioning, startup, and product trials
+ Identify and evaluate process alternatives during design and justify process improvements with economic evaluations
+ Develop expertise with process chemistry and unit operations to enable scaleup of laboratory and pilot data to commercial design
+ Work with manufacturing sites to develop and implement productivity projects, demonstrated knowledge of engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Chemical Engineering
+ 6+ years of Process Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing sector
+ 6+ years of experience with Front End Loading (FEL) or Front End Engineering Design (FEED)

- Author and execute Master Validation Plans (MVPs), OQ (Operational Qualification), and PQ (Performance Qualification) protocols and reports in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Lead validation activities for critical manufacturing processes including:
- Liquid phase mixing of formulation materials.
- Lyophilization (freeze-drying).
- Moulding and sizing of bioabsorbable components.
- Maintain and own Process FMEA (pFMEA) documentation and risk management files in accordance with ISO 14971 and relevant quality standards.
- Analyse and interpret process data to ensure processes are capable, controlled, and repeatable.
- Ensure traceability, documentation, and regulatory compliance throughout validation life cycle.
- Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for scale-up from laboratory to production scale.
- Design and conduct feasibility studies, process capability studies, and pilot runs.
- Support selection, specification, and commissioning of new equipment for laboratory and manufacturing environments.
- Provide technical input on design for manufacturability and process improvements.
