Position Purpose:
Associates in Freight/Receiving positions ensure the store is stocked and ready for business every day. They load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area throughout the store, may operate forklifts and may perform critical functions for maintaining proper on-hands and pricing for our customers. Direct customer interaction is frequently required for some positions and excellent customer service skills are required. The Freight/Receiving positions may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate and Receiving Support.

**Position Summary**
Ensure inventory accuracy and process integrity within the SAP system by analyzing discrepancies, managing cycle counts, and supporting operational teams. Drive systemic improvements and enhance data quality to support month-end close and strategic inventory management.
**Principal Responsibilities**
- Analyze and resolve SAP inventory variances, including orders, returns, receipts, and consumption errors, to maintain data accuracy and support monthly closing processes.
- Coordinate and lead cycle counting activities in both production and warehouse areas, ensuring compliance with internal controls and root-cause analysis of discrepancies.
- Investigate recurring inventory inaccuracies, identifying contributing materials and systemic issues, and collaborate with operations to implement corrective actions.
- Generate and maintain inventory control reports, providing actionable insights for warehouse and manufacturing teams.
- Monitor daily cycle count execution and escalate critical issues impacting production or financial accuracy.
- Support material traceability efforts by ensuring timely consumption postings on production orders.
- Serve as liaison between inventory control and operational teams, ensuring alignment on procedures, accuracy targets, and audit readiness.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards, while contributing to cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned
**Education / Experience Requirements**
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3+ year of experience in inventory control, materials management, or a related warehouse function.
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting strongly preferred.
**Specialized Skills / Other Requirements**
Technical Skills:
- SAP (Materials Management Module) - Intermediate
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) - Proficient
- Forklift operation - Preferred certification
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Effective team collaboration and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurately receiving incoming material domestic / international and add it into the AS400 inventory management system.
- Participates in the physical inventories of warehouse, maintains accurate inventory records.
- Perform daily cycle count.
- Receive and unload freight, both manually and or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Check for damaged goods.
- Verify quantity and quality of shipments received.
- Receiving and inspecting of returned products.
- Responsible for efficiently putting away material so it is available as quickly as possible to be shipped to customers.
- Create a Manifest for movement of material between production facilities. DOT certification required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor and Team Lead.
**Essential Skills and Experience:**
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven work record with warehousing, inventory control, order picking and/or shipping operations with 1+ years warehouse experience.
- Must be able to document records in English and communicate orally and in writing in English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others.
- Must be able to effectively work independently and as a team.

- Experience in a chemical warehouse environment.
- Experience with (JDE/AS400).
- Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
**Physical Demands and Work Environment:**
- This position will require some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs., heavier weights with assistance). Must be able to work an 8-12 hour shift in a fast paced environment. Must be able to handle chemicals in a safe manner while donning appropriate personal protective equipment.
