Cost Accountant

Check budget projections for correctness, completeness and compliance with procedures and rules. Examine accounting and budgeting reports.

Collect cost information and maintain an expense database.
Build data accumulation systems.
Determine fixed costs ie wages, rent and insurances.
Plan and record variable costs ie example, raw material purchases and operating costs.
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
Prepare budget reports (for the company and for each department).
Analyze and report profit margins.
Prepare cost forecasts (monthly, quarterly and yearly).
Assistance at the end of the month and end of the year.
Identify and recommend profitable solutions.
