Electrical Engineer

Apply the policies of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism to explain electrical products and systems. Conduct risk assessments and assure compliance with safety standards and electrical engineering codes.

Demonstrate a broad understanding of electrical systems and related project experience in a variety of industries.
This role involves many areas from electrical system design, maintenance, implementation and improvement.

Perform reactive and emergency breakdown jobs

There can be a need with this kind of role to be on a call-out schedule to cover after-hours breakdowns.

Experience with fault finding on systems.
Problem solve by making timely and accurate decisions, usually under pressure.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team is required.
Ability to prioritize one’s workload and meet deadlines.
Create schematics from first principles to meet design requirements.
Good knowledge of all electrical standards
Understanding of the environmental implications of any work done and adhering to all necessary laws relating to any damage caused
Competent in the use of design and assessment methods appropriate to the discipline.
