Insurance Defense Attorney

Represent defendants in a wide range of insurance claims although they are mainly personal injury cases

Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, and develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients independently.
In support of defense strategies, prepare complex pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions, and briefs.
Provide clients and claims with effective and timely communications, information, legal advice, and other services concerning legal and factual issues.
Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel in accordance with office procedures.
Assist with witness preparation and presentation at trials, judicial and administrative hearings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolutions.

A graduate from law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and two years of experience representing clients
Experience in the insurance industry as an insurance coverage attorney, insurance defense attorney, or similar role
Current, active membership in the local bar association is required.
Experience with legal research software is required.
Solid decision-making, interpersonal communication, and public speaking abilities are necessary.
Manage the demands of a heavy caseload without the need for supervision.
