Medical Director

Monitoring and enhancing the quality of care provided by a hospital, as well as assisting in the reduction of a healthcare facility’s operating expenditures over time. Collaborate closely with the executive management team to develop and implement initiatives that will improve patient care and medical practice.

Responsibilities: 
Work directly with providers to educate them in the care process and determine what can be done to improve overall care quality.
Act as the medical expert when dealing with vendors and non-medical facilities that serve the hospital organization.
Manage the number of activities related to the delivery of medical care and clinical services such as cost management, utilization review, quality assurance, and medical protocol development
Participate in various administrative and clinical staff meetings
Maintain confidentiality of all information related to participants, medical staff and employees
Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees and, supervisors
Oversee the activities of group physicians, including team management, recruitment, promotion, etc processes

Requirements:
A valid medical license is required.
Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
10+ years of clinical medicine experience
5+ years of hospital administration experience
Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and cognitive abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills
Current knowledge of chronic care/geriatric issues, as well as best practices
Superior leadership abilities
