Principal Environmental Consultant

Lead different technical specialists on projects and coordinate environmental impact assessments and related procedures. Be aware of any legal requirement changes as a consultant is often brought in to manage a business’ adherence to a change in law.

Responsibilities:
Experience in the design, implementation and validation of remediation systems.
Creating reports on environmental baseline conditions.
Managing the performance of internal teams and appointed subcontractors on projects.
Procurement expertise is needed
Provide proactive, decisive guidance on pollution hazards for land, water or air.
Health and Safety plan prepared in accordance with government guidelines
Working as part of multidisciplinary teams i.e. geotechnics, civil engineering and structures.
Preparing and agreeing on work scope proposals with contractors
Knowledge of quality management systems and ensuring that the team implements them effectively for all projects and proposals.

Requirements:
Environmental knowledge of relevant regulations and any changes in law
Knowledge of best practices.
Management skills including time, budget and project management.
Report writing and presentation skills.
Influencing and good relationship building skills.
Experienced research and auditing abilities.
