Supervising Social Worker

Manage, hire, supervise, support and nurture foster parents. Provide training to Foster parents as needed to protect the well-being of children as well as monitoring foster parent outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Assist and be involved in a foster career support group.
Collaborate directly with any agencies and all staff to match children with families.
Willing to work flexible hours i.e. long working days and also weekends.
To serve as a member of the Foster Care Panel if necessary.
Contribute to the growth of the fostering service.
Supporting and supervising mainstream foster carers.
Supervision of a foster care pool.
Home visits.
Providing caregivers with assistance as and when necessary
Directly work with children and adolescents to promote positive outcomes and stable placements.
Participation in all facets of the organization, including supporting foster carers’ training.
Ensuring carers’ compliance with fostering standards and monitoring and adhering to all safeguarding aspects.
Report to the Registered Manager.
Formal evaluations and panel presentation

Requirements:
Working experience in a Fostering Team is preferred.
A recognized social work qualification (degree/diploma/certificate/CQSW).
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Willingness to go through child protection screening, including employment references.
