Tribal Affairs Program Manager

Accountable for effectively managing Tribal Nation issues and overall policy support in implementing the Department of Energy American Indian and Alaska Native Tribal Government Policy.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Tribal Affairs program’s effective management direction and control.
Serve as the primary advisor. In all interactions with tribal governments.
Ascertain that all program interactions and communications with tribal nations are efficient, timely, and consistent with the agency’s Native American Policy.
Keep track of all activities, studies, and initiatives that may have an impact on the Department of Energy’s ability to consult effectively with tribal nations.
Prepare senior leadership for all tribal contacts, including informational materials development;
recognizing potential issues and making recommendations for solutions; creating presentations, talking points, and question-and-answer documents;
Arranging dry-run meetings in advance of all executive-level engagements to ensure that all Department of Energy program interactions and communications with tribal countries are successful
