Position Overview
The Director, Training Services,
HealthStream Enterprise Applications will oversee all current and
legacy credentialing and scheduling solution training programs
including web-based seminars, live training, and recorded webinars.
Oversight includes the hiring and managing of a team of Customer
Engagement Specialists and coordinating their efforts to support
customers in transitioning from the post-sales process through
onboarding and into full product adoption. The Director, Training
Services, HealthStream Enterprise Applications is also responsible for
setting and executing the vision for scaling delivery of our training
services and ensuring training services effectively meet the needs of
HealthStream clients.
Key Responsibilities
You will
be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies,
procedures, and assigned training.
- Hires,
onboards, and supervises Training Managers and Customer
Engagement Specialists to make up the Training Services team.
- Independently determines project distribution and assures
the timely and appropriate assignment of Customer Engagement
Specialist resources to all Enterprise Applications Implementation
teams.
- Leads regular team meetings to analyze
workloads, troubleshoot common issues, and provide training and
guidance to all managers and Customer Engagement Specialists.
- Conducts annual employee evaluations and interim
evaluations, as appropriate, to give performance feedback to direct
reports.
- Acts as an escalation point on various
Implementation Projects, independently determining remediation
measures or changes in strategy to ensure client satisfaction with
services provided by the Training team.
- Proactively
monitors available channels for feedback from clients and internal
stakeholders to determine training needs and requirements.
- Works with managers and team leads to address learning
issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding
specific employees or departments.
- Sets and
executes vision for scaling delivery of training services and ensuring
training services effectively meet the needs of HealthStream clients.
- Develops and analyzes reporting on team performance
to provide insight and guidance for the executive leadership team.
- Engages productively in support of all HealthStream
initiatives.
- Manages 3 rd party contractors
including offshore resources when needed.
- Stays
current on the activities and needs of the industry by attending
regular meetings, conferences, and seminars.
Qualifications
Requirements
- A Bachelor's
degree in related discipline.
- 3-5 years experience
managing a team of direct reports.
- 3-5 years
experience providing software support and/or training.
- Experience with the application of adult learning methodologies
and techniques.
- Experience delivering web-based
training desired.
- Have a demonstrated affinity for
technology.
- Demonstrated proficiency working in a
Windows software environment.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills;
professional poise.
- Excellent computer skills and
an ability to quickly learn new software.
- Extremely
high standards for organization and time management.
- Have strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with
the ability to influence others to achieve desired results.
- Ability to coordinate efforts across various
teams to create new training materials, implement new processes or
technology, and uncover roadblocks to successful client education.
- Willingness to proactively assist others by joining
client calls and owning solutions.
- Compelling
leader, ready to be a champion of the corporate vision.
- Eagerness to learn new software and adopt new technology for
producing effective and engaging educational materials.
- Ability to review and provide constructive criticism on all
documentation for accuracy, proper grammar, and utility.
- Ready to function as part of a goal-oriented team.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
