Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION Essential Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the
preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly production and financial
forecasts.
- Conduct analysis in a timely and meaningful
fashion to allow for recognition of potential errors in accounting
systems or financial reporting.
- Prepare periodic banking
reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly premium tracking metrics.
- Prepare profit sharing payments.
- Assist in 1099
processing.
- Assist in the timely preparation of monthly
financial statements for company.
- Coordination of work paper
preparation for third party examinations.
- Recommend
improvements to current accounting systems as areas of weakness or
problem areas may be identified in the course of other duties.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities - In-depth knowledge of
general accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of
Agribusiness P&C products, services, and systems.
- Knowledge
of the terminology used by the insurance industry and the company.
- Ability to perform basic and complex mathematical
calculations.
- Ability to use company and department software
including word, excel, and other software as deemed appropriate by the
project.
- Ability to respond to telephone inquiries
accurately and professionally.
- Ability to effectively
communicate and maintain positive business relationships with company
personnel, outside resources, and customers.
- Ability to
organize and prioritize multiple tasks and to perform many tasks
simultaneously.
- Ability to use department equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work
well with people in a team environment.
- Ability to work from
oral or written communication.
- Ability to assist in other
work-related areas as required.
