The Market Strategy Intern for Policy Analysis will
work collaboratively to research federal and state policy impacting

Throughout the summer,
you will have the opportunity to meet, interact, and collaborate among
various project teams, consultants, senior management, executives and
peers. Guidance and training on operations standards and protocols
will be provided by the Manager. This position is a remote opportunity
for applicants residing in the US and within the Eastern time
zone.
BENEFITS / COMPENSATION:
Hourly pay range is competitive and
commensurate with education and experience. Interns are eligible for
benefits. All computer equipment and access to digital systems will be
provided to the hired candidate. Students may also complete the
internship for academic credit, subject to the qualifications of their
academic program.
PROGRAM DETAILS:
This position requires a
commitment of 40 full-time hours per week, with availability during
usual business hours (8AM-6PM ET), for the duration of a 10-week
summer program: starting Tuesday, May 27th and ending Friday, August
8th, 2025.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide
data analysis support to project and operations management.

Perform routine administrative functions.
- Assist in special
projects across various operational departments.
- Work on
assignments that are moderately difficult and escalate issues to
management.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting.
1) Research federal
and state policy developments that impacts US Services and prepare
easy to understand briefing materials;
2) Collaborate on detailed
analysis of how policy changes would impact existing business and/or
create opportunities for new or adjacent markets, quantifying impact
when possible
3) Work on special projects autonomously and through
partnership with cross functional teams
4) Create written and oral
presentations to brief executive staff
Minimum Requirements
-
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing
a college degree in a related field.
- Must have completed a
minimum of 2 years of coursework.
- Skilled in standard computer
applications and platforms such as Outlook and MS Office Suite,
PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple
priorities with superior attention to detail.
- Ability to
perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work
environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork, and
customer service skills.
1) An understanding of how policy is
developed and promulgated at the federal and state level. Preferred
candidates will have expertise in health and human service policy and
programs.
2) Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with
the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
3)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying
complex information to diverse audiences.
4) A strong orientation
to detail with a keen sense of curiosity and a passion for staying
informed about industry trends.
The ideal candidate will possess
past experience learning about or supporting a specific health or
human services program; strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and
written communication, work well independently and remotely. This

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not
limited to job location, a candidate's education, training,
experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if
any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority
and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is
just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other
rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as
program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of
benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and
disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and
paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value
but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.

and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
