Full Job Description
Description & Requirements Maximus is seeking a Scrum
Master to facilitate releases and work with the other teams to
coordinate pre and post release activities.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full lifecycle development and
implementation program and technical activities to ensure successful
project execution and meeting of requirements.
- Perform all
project management functions; including work breakdown and cost
estimation, scheduling, monitoring and tracking of technical progress
against the defined timetables and budgets, and staff assignment and
development.
- Lead and direct the successful delivery of
infrastructure design, systems integration, and product
installation/customization services while ensuring that assigned
projects adhere to the approved life cycle work patterns, standards,
and procedures for solution delivery.
- Supervise and manage all
technical support staff.
- Manage activities of subcontractors
utilized to deliver the technical solution.
- Define and
implement development plans for assigned projects in order to increase
staff's knowledge and skills in the areas of project management,
requirements management, and technology capabilities.

Communicate possible State systems maintenance issues to DPW.

Ensure availability of system applications for MAXIMUS and state
staff.
- Maintain the LAN, Intranet and phone systems, including
any applicable software and hardware.
- Responsible for network
security and privacy of protected health information and proprietary
information belonging to MAXMUS or DPW.
- Develop and generate
management reports and other ad hoc reports, as needed.

Interpret reports to identify emerging trends or issues.
- Review
any problems reported by MAXIMUS or state staff regarding system
hardware or software.
- Develop and/or maintain various internal
MAXIMUS databases.
- Identify and assess new functional
capabilities supporting engineering change proposals and additional
follow on work.
- Ensure the project is in compliance with
MAXIMUS standards and procedures.
- Ensure that all appropriate
costs are included in quarterly forecasts.
- Perform other duties
as assigned by leadership.
Project Specific Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate requirements gathering workshops,
stakeholder meetings, and user story writing sessions to capture
business needs and priorities.
- Translate business requirements
into clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint
backlog items.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure
alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
- Serve
as a scrum master for agile development teams, facilitating sprint
planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Monitor project progress, identify, and mitigate risks, and
communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Maintain project
documentation, including user stories, sprint backlogs, release plans,
and sprint burndown charts.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing
(UAT) activities and gather feedback from stakeholders to validate
system functionality.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team
environment, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Act
as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to
ensure effective communication and alignment of priorities.
Minimum
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+
years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
- Accountable to oversee
results of multi-functional project teams, but not responsible for P&L
or business development.
- Responsible for the
administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program
guidelines.
- Ability to execute highly complex or specialized
projects; adapts precedent and may make significant departures from
traditional approaches to develop solutions.
- Responsible for
all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects
and provides a single point of contact for those projects.

- Defines project scope and objectives.
- Develops detailed
work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status
reports.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for
project tracking and analysis.
- Ensures adherence to quality
standards and reviews project deliverables.

integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor
deliverables.
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to
project team.
- Recommends and takes action to direct the
analysis and solutions of problems.
- Incumbent might also be
company's expert on specific technologies.
- Under general
direction, responsible for all aspects of the development and
implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of
contact for those projects.

Project Specific Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a
related field.
- Scrum master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM)
required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a similar
role.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
- Proven
experience in leading agile teams and facilitating scrum ceremonies.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced
environment
- Experience as a business analyst in Microsoft platform
development implementation projects.
- Knowledge of agile
methodologies and experience serving as a scrum master.
- Ability to
gather and document business requirements, user stories, and
acceptance criteria.
- Experience conducting workshops, user
interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
- Proficiency in creating and
maintaining project documentation, such as user stories, sprint
backlogs, and release plans.
- Excellent communication and
facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops for project
management.

Pay Transparency
Maximus comp ensation is based on various factors including but
not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training,
experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if
any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority
and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is
just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other
rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as
program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of
benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and
disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and
paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value
but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.

compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates
and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
