Our neuro med-surg unit focuses on providing care for patients with neurological and medical-surgical conditions. This unit often handles cases involving stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological disorders, alongside general medical-surgical patients.

Minimum Qualifications

- We perform approximately 350 procedures per month, covering a wide range of interventions such as:

- Electrophysiology: Arrhythmia ablations, SVT, atrial fibrillation, Aflutter, Farapulse technology, Watchman device implantation.
- Structural heart interventions: TAVR, Triclip, MitraClip, ASD and PFO closures.
- Vascular procedures: Endovascular, peripheral interventions, EVAR, TAVAR, TEVAR.
- All laboratories are equipped with Philips imaging systems and GE Mac-Lab hemodynamic monitoring systems, along with an Acist contrast injection device.
- Our team is highly proficient with advanced equipment, including Pnumbra, Shockwave, Rotablator, Volcano systems, IVUS, Boston Scientific devices, Impella, balloon pumps, and 3D ICE technology.
- We foster a collaborative and respectful culture comprising Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, and Cardiac Surgeons.
- Procedures are typically performed by three-person teams consisting of registered nurses and invasive technologists.
- Documentation is managed using Epic and Mac-Lab systems.
- The team utilizes a combination of RN-led conscious sedation and anesthesia as appropriate.
