SummaryThe Acute Care Nursing Assistant assists licensed nursing staff in the care of patients/residents receiving preventive, acute, sub-acute, chronic, maintenance, residential and hospice care. The NA is accountable for adhering to established policies, procedures, standards of care and standards of practice and for maintaining competencies consistence with role and responsibilities. The CNA performs complex age specific nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of physical, mental, behavioral or psychological needs. The NA continues to provide care under supervision of a RN, are learning to perform complex nursing skills, and will refer issues/ questions to supervisors, higher graded NAs, licensed nursing staff or other healthcare professionals. Experience: One year of specialized experience as a Nursing Assistant or experience in another medical field (licensed practical nurse, health technician, hospital corpsman, etc.), performing technical and nursing skills requiring knowledge of the human physical and emotional states, therapeutic communication, and technical skills required for basic and intermediate treatments OREducation: Successful completion of 2 years above high school in an accredited institution with courses related to nursing care, health care or in a field of study appropriate to the specialization of the position, such as education in a program for psychology, psychiatric, or operating room technicians; AND Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs). The distinguishing factor is that patient/resident assignments typically involve more complex nursing needs which can vary within a range of predictable to unpredictable requirements. Nursing Assistants at this level also assume more of a peer education/mentorship role. Experience: One year of progressively responsible assignments and experience equivalent to the GS-4 level which demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities that are directly related to the specific assignment. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the professional KSAs in subparagraph (c) below OREducation: Successful completion of a 4-year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree that included 24 semester hours of courses related to health care or possession of a bachelor's degree; AND Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs). **Job Summary**
The Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, and administers therapeutic procedures in physical medicine and rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring physician. This role establishes individualized physical therapy goals, provides treatments, and regularly reassesses patient progress, documenting all findings accurately. The Physical Therapist collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to professional standards, maintaining privacy, and respecting patient rights.
**Essential Functions**
+ Conducts thorough physical therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and develops individualized treatment plans.
+ Administers safe and effective therapy treatments, ensuring all interventions are appropriately documented.
+ Reassesses and adjusts treatment plans within appropriate timeframes to align with patient progress and changing needs.
+ Provides clear, concise, and accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
+ Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
+ 0-2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting required

+ Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, therapeutic techniques, and safety standards.
+ Ability to perform comprehensive evaluations and develop effective treatment plans.

This position will provide flexible support 50% inpatient & 50% outpatient services.** You will work alongside of our Cardiovascular team and care for our cardiology, cardiac surgery, heart failure, transplant and cardiovascular patients. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with experience and/or new grad with appropriate training to be part of an established comprehensive cardiology program.The qualified candidate will work closely with our team of specialized physicians, nursing staff, case managers and support staff and should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
**Work Schedule** : Monday through Friday - Day coverage 8-hour days, rotating weekends and holidays
**Patient Volume:** Outpatient clinic - 16 patients/day; Inpatient: 5-10 patients/day, rounding with CCU and ICU teams.
**Essential Functions and Required Qualifications:**
NP Board Certification
New NP Grads encouraged to apply with Cardiology or Cardiac Surgery experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
