- Monitor food and supply inventory; place weekly orders per CACFP, Kremmer's, and Novick guidelines. Verify deliveries against invoices and promptly address any discrepancies.
- Complete daily meal count forms and inventory sheets. Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with food program requirements.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and appliances regularly. Perform monthly deep-cleaning tasks and adhere to all health and safety standards.
- Check and log refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily, reporting any issues immediately.
- Update and distribute food allergy and preference lists. Ensure all classrooms are stocked with necessary dining supplies.
Qualifications
- Minimum, High School Diploma/GED
- Food Manager's Certification, required

ResponsibilitiesThe department manager oversees the food service program at a single site, ensuring high food quality standards, inventory management, food safety, and customer service. This role requires adherence to facility menus, federal, state, and local regulations, and HCSG policies to consistently provide quality dining services.

Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within the first 14 days of employment

Qualifications- Requires at least 1 year of experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments to a unified food service experience for all customers
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Food Service Director, who is not classified as a dietitian, is ultimately responsible for the food service function. He/she plans and supervises activities of the department to provide service for residents, employees, and visitors. SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/ VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1 Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the facility. 2 AA degree in culinary services or food management preferred. 3 Food Service Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies is required. Servsafe certified and CDM Preferred. JOB SKILLS: 1 Knowledge of basic principles of dietetic, food sanitation and service; must be familiar with large scale; purchases and preparation of food, food and labor laws and with accepted food service techniques. 2 Ability to formulate operational and capital budgets for the food service department. 3 Knowledgeable in personnel practices related to the recruiting, hiring, orientation and training of food service personnel. 4 Familiar with the Windsor Gardens Care Center performance appraisal system. 5 Ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. 6 Basic computer skills. 7 Provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
