What you'll do:
- Ability to safely, productively, and professionally install various types of CMU units including but not limited to 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16" CMU as well as all brick types including proper layout, installation, and wash-down procedures.
- Operate equipment as needed for daily construction activities, i.e., mixers, forklifts, telehandlers etc.

- Safely erect, maintain, work, and dismantle all scaffolding systems required to perform daily construction activities.
- Must be familiar with and perform the general daily maintenance of all equipment, i.e., fueling, lubrication, etc.
- Must perform general daily safety inspections to all equipment prior to use.
- Knowledge of general building structures and foundations.
- Knowledge of elevations, grades and concrete foundation structures and installation procedures.
- Knowledge of masonry drainage systems and concrete footing designs.
- Responsible for daily production quantities, i.e., 8" CMU (180-200 units per day), 10" CMU (160-180 units per day), 12' CMU (140-160 units per day) Brick (400 units per day).
- Operate all types of hand tools, saws, and equipment for cutting CMU units.
- Maintain required production units as outlined by the project schedule.
- Perform general carpentry items to assist with temporary enclosures for in climate weather work.
- Assist in loading and unloading building material.
- Provide input on jobsite logistics, organization, layout, equipment, and manpower utilization.
- Establish and enforce a comprehensive project safety and security program as defined in the company safety program in accordance with all applicable safety codes and regulations.

- Provides timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as Superintendent, Estimating, Project Management, Operations, Human Resources, etc.
- Meet with the Safety Director and complete mandatory safety training prior to start of employment.

- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Your success story:
Completion of apprentice/vocational program or an equivalent combination of training/education or a minimum of 5 years of field experience in the masonry trade.

**What you'll be doing as a Block / Brick Mason:**
+ Read and interpret blueprints/drawings to determine specifications and calculate materials required
+ Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to build or refurbish walls, arches, chimneys, and other structures
+ Apply and smooth mortar or other mixture over work surface
+ Operate heavy machinery and tools, such as mixers, saws, drills, and blowtorches
+ Restore, clean, and repair existing masonry structures
+ Ensure structures are level and compatible with local codes and regulations
+ Maintain a clean and safe working environment

**Job requirements:**
+ Proven experience as a Mason with a minimum of 1-3 years in the industry

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Safely erect, use, and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, platforms, and temporary enclosures while working on multi-level structures and floor openings.
- Transport materials, measure, cut, fabricate, place, and secure formwork, pour and finish concrete, and perform tasks such as patching, jackhammering, and applying coatings.
- Additional duties include flagging, watchman responsibilities, light chipping, cleanup, and general material handling.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspections, routine maintenance, and cleaning of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Operate various equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and hoists, following safety standards and signal instructions.
- Continuously monitor equipment condition, clean tracks or wheels, and use blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Read and interpret blueprints while assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
- Perform repairs and installations of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs, and other fixtures, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Operate tools and equipment, assess material quality, provide excellent customer service, and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Set forms, clean and inspect surfaces, and direct concrete casting with the truck driver.
- Pour, smooth, level, and compact concrete using handheld and power tools while monitoring weather effects on the curing process.
- Apply sealing and hardening components, construct expansion joints, and polish surfaces using power surfacing machines.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Interpret construction plans, measure distances, and determine material requirements to ensure accurate masonry work.
- Mix and apply mortar, lay bricks or blocks, cut and shape materials, and install decorative or structural masonry elements.
- Repair and restore masonry structures, check alignment and stability, clean excess mortar, and seal surfaces for a polished finish.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma
