As Mastercard Services continues to build and expand our relationships into new industries and buying centers, the Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for outbound cold outreach activities (email, social media / LinkedIn, cold calls) to engage our ideal customer profiles / senior decision-makers at enterprise organizations, book meetings with qualified personas, and source business opportunities for Mastercard Services.
This role will be exposed to the broad Mastercard Services product set and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development and the Services B2B Marketing team of which this role is part.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and engage with potential clients through various channels, including email, phone calls, LinkedIn, etc. Focus on reaching senior decision-makers at enterprise organizations to book meetings and source qualified business opportunities. This role carries a quarterly quota target for sourced opportunities.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align prospecting efforts and messaging with overall business goals and marketing campaigns. Provide feedback on lead generation processes and suggest improvements.
Data-Driven Approach: Utilize data and analytics to track and measure the effectiveness of prospecting strategies. Adjust tactics based on performance metrics to optimize outreach efforts.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and lead interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce). Ensure data integrity and consistency.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, Mastercard Services' product offerings, and competitive landscape. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance sales skills and product knowledge to understand relevance of our solutions to potential clients and tailor messaging accordingly.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on lead generation activities, campaign effectiveness, and business impact to the BDR Manager and senior leadership.
Sales Meeting Participation: Participate in and lead initial discovery calls with potential customers to effectively understand needs and showcase Mastercard solutions.
About You - Qualifications:
Equivalent business development experience, preferably in SaaS and/or within a global organization
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a global organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Deep understanding of prospecting and inbound/outbound sales processes.
Proficiency in CRM systems (ideally experience with Salesforce) and sales enablement tools like Outreach.io, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical skills to assess performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as front-line project manager for assigned business development-related projects and teams from conception to follow-through to ensure efficiency, quality, and results.

Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Charter Global, you will play a critical role in owning and driving the sales process from qualified lead to close. Working alongside a high-performing team of inside sales (SDR) agents and technical experts, youll be responsible for nurturing opportunities, building deep client relationships, and delivering value-driven solutions to meet client needs.
This role is part of our broader structure, which includes titles like Enterprise Opportunity Manager (EOM), Inside Opportunity Manager (IOM), and Opportunity Manager (OM)depending on the campaign and client alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full sales cyclefrom opportunity validation to contract closure.
- Build and expand relationships with prospects across multiple roles within target accounts.
- Qualify incoming leads from the SDR team, providing feedback to improve lead generation efforts.
- Source and develop new prospects when needed to build your book of business.
- Conduct discovery calls, present tailored solutions, and coordinate product demonstrations and scoping sessions.
- Navigate client organizations to identify key stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date account and opportunity information in the CRM.
- Stay current on Charter Globals service offerings and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with internal SMEs, technical teams, and contracting teams for seamless opportunity execution.
- Participate in strategic sales campaigns, bringing insights from client conversations to inform go-to-market approaches.
Qualifications:
- 37 years of experience in B2B tech sales, business development, or opportunity management.
- Proven track record of managing and closing complex sales cycles.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative selling skills.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and CRM skills.
- Familiarity with selling IT services, consulting, or staffing solutions is a strong plus.

The primary objective of the Business Development Manager is to sell comprehensive security systems and services to the Companys clients: local building owners, managers, tenants and developers. Responsibilities- Prospects in-person, and travel as needed within your geographic territory for sales opportunities
- Participates in key industry associations and events to increase awareness of Kastles brand and favorably position Kastle to targeted clients within the community
- Performs physical surveys of outdoor industrial premises such as scrap metal recyclers, auto auctions, waste management, building suppliers and construction sites
- Designs security system solutions that meet the clients needs
- Meets and exceeds sales quota and revenue goals in assigned territory
- Proven success in working independently to penetrate a territory, growing sales and revenue
- Five (5) years successful sales experience (security sales, monitored video solutions preferably or experience selling to scrap metal recyclers, auto auctions, waste management, building suppliers or construction)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Well developed prospecting techniques and consultative, strategic selling to industrial clients at the executive level
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and presentations
- Prior experience closing sales of complex systems or services with protracted sales cycles
- Experience with sales force automation (CRM) systems, creating PowerPoint and video demos and the ability to learn our proprietary tools and technologies
- An entrepreneurial mindset & demonstrated ability to work independently to meet goals
