Qualifications

What You’ll Need to be a successful Outside Sales Representative:

  • Previous sales experience preferred in B2B (although, we provide all the training you will need to be successful!)
  • Proven track record of success

  • High school diploma required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Individuals who drive their personal vehicles for business purposes will be required to comply with minimum auto insurance requirements per UniFirst's standards

Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and engage with potential clients through various channels, including email, phone calls, LinkedIn, etc. Focus on reaching senior decision-makers at enterprise organizations to book meetings and source qualified business opportunities. This role carries a quarterly quota target for sourced opportunities.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align prospecting efforts and messaging with overall business goals and marketing campaigns. Provide feedback on lead generation processes and suggest improvements.
Data-Driven Approach: Utilize data and analytics to track and measure the effectiveness of prospecting strategies. Adjust tactics based on performance metrics to optimize outreach efforts.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and lead interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce). Ensure data integrity and consistency.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, Mastercard Services' product offerings, and competitive landscape. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance sales skills and product knowledge to understand relevance of our solutions to potential clients and tailor messaging accordingly.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on lead generation activities, campaign effectiveness, and business impact to the BDR Manager and senior leadership.
Sales Meeting Participation: Participate in and lead initial discovery calls with potential customers to effectively understand needs and showcase Mastercard solutions.
About You - Qualifications:
Equivalent business development experience, preferably in SaaS and/or within a global organization
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a global organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Deep understanding of prospecting and inbound/outbound sales processes.
Proficiency in CRM systems (ideally experience with Salesforce) and sales enablement tools like Outreach.io, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

The Business Development Specialist is responsible growing Visual Comforts business and achieving sales targets within their assigned market. This role will focus on identifying and partnering with new customers as well as cultivating our business with existing customers. Target customers include, residential home builders, interior designers, architects, home technology integrators and electrical contractors. Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales, they will work as part of a broader team which will help enable customer acquisition, growth and retention.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads all aspects of the sales process, while leveraging other sales, marketing and operational resources to assist in solution development or implementation.
  • Ability to access existing and target customers; conduct 16 face to face sales calls per week
  • Ability to effectively present Visual Comforts value proposition in order to influence customers
  • Network with architects, builders and designers through involvement in trade associations
  • Adept at managing existing customers to ensure retention and continued sales growth.
  • Uses proprietary CRM to manage a priority-based schedule with existing and target customers
  • Develop a strong knowledge of Visual Comforts product offering, service value propositions, and operating systems
  • Capable of analyzing and interpreting data to drive decision making

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of sales experience in consultative sales environment
  • 1+ years experience in custom home building products, interior design, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry required
  • Bachelors degree (BA/BS) preferred
  • Proven track record of cultivating relationships and achieving sales goals
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Superior communication, presentation and organization skills
  • Passion for design and construction markets

As a Business Development Manager, you are the team lead responsible for training, coaching, motivating Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to hit their sales quotas and KPIs. This is a hybrid role based out of our Atlanta or Chicago office.

Starting base pay for this role is between $110,000 and $128,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Demonstrated expertise in solution-based sales, account management, or technical solutions within the corrugated packaging industry.
  • Flexible to travel approximately 30-50% of the time by air, car.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Proficient in print processes (flexographic, lithographic, digital), graphic design, prepress, and packaging applications, with demonstrated management of high-graphic print projects from start to finish.
  • Advanced understanding of graphic design, prepress, file management, color management, print processes, package structure design, and converting processes.
  • Experience in a packaging or hi-graphics related vendor/supplier setting, understanding procurement, supply chain, and marketing/brand group functions.
  • Proven ability to lead complex business development projects, collaborating across internal and external teams effectively.

For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - $30,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
