Base pay range $159,000.00/yr - $23,000.00/yr Meta is seeking a Manager, Strategic Programs to support Facebook’s zero-to-1 partnership initiatives. This person will operate as the “quarterback” helping to set up, support and help execute complex, cross-organization partner initiatives with high leadership visibility spanning multiple product areas and teams. This person will have experience driving strategic initiatives through proactive operational and thought leadership in a cross-functional environment, someone who is strategic, can drive results and stay focused on high-impact projects. Manager, Strategic Partner Initiatives Responsibilities: Problem Solving: Identify and analyze complex business problems and develop novel, creative solutions. Develop recommendations and a clear, substantiated point-of-view on a plan of record. Exhibit a solutions-oriented approaches to issues, driving to timely resolutions Strategic Planning and Program Management: Drive projects or initiatives that require additional due diligence and clarity before engaging further with a partner (for example, analyzing internal and external data and analysts reports to assess partner feasibility). Help coordinate and drive program management across different business development teams. Communications: Drive key leadership meetings and effectively communicate strategic recommendations and updates to leadership and stakeholders. Ensure strategic and cross-ecosystems view of key partners in preparation for executive meetings, escalations and deal negotiations Collaboration & Influence: Partner with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, strategic response, legal, policy, communications, marketing) to ensure preparation for any partner meetings or public engagements with background information, goals, and materials, and to ensure accurate representation of our strategy Stay up-to-date with trends in business and technology including knowledge of current/potential Meta partners Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of experience of business development, strategy, consulting or related field Experience with clear and concise executive communications Experience leading cross-functional projects, working effectively with internal and external partners at all levels Experience building a variety of internal and external relationships based on trust and respect Experience balancing between high-level strategy and diving into execution Experience delivering thought leadership through research and data-driven approaches Experience handling confidential information, with experience exercising discretion, poise and professionalism at all times Experience analyzing and solving complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational), and driving projects from strategy to execution. **Job Description**
The **Senior Director of Business Strategy & Operations** for Gilead Medical Affairs will drive short and long terms department initiatives and annual goals in innovation, improving efficiency, and collaboration. This newly created role will specifically take the lead on driving execution and overseeing successful implementation and execution of Project MAestro initiatives across the MA organization as well as Medical Affairs organization-wide annual goals. + Facilitate development and implementation of processes to optimize organizational effectiveness.

The salary range for this position is: $243,100.00 - $314,600.00.     • Continuously evolve the platform’s strategy by understanding how AI/ML resources are being developed, both in commercial and open-source environments, to ensure differentiation of offerings.

  • Data Acquisition and Generation

    • Work closely with the Product Lead to identify specific data needs for each use case.

    • Identify and evaluate opportunities to acquire or generate data that supports the platform's AI/ML models and use cases.

    • Establish partnerships or in-house capabilities to ensure access to high-quality data necessary for driving drug discovery outcomes.

  • Operational Excellence

    • Collaborate with Tech @Lilly and LRL leaders to ensure the operational capabilities meet both technical and business objectives.

    • Implement operational frameworks and governance structures to support growth and scalability while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Financial Management and Reporting

    • Develop and manage the platform’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently across business development, operations, and technology needs.

    • Monitor financial performance and report regularly to senior leadership on platform milestones, key metrics, and return on investment.

    • Ensure cost optimization and efficient use of resources to support high-impact initiatives aligned with the platform’s business goals.

  • Performance Metrics and Impact

    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the platform’s success, including operational efficiency, partnership growth, and business outcomes.

    • Regularly assess the impact of the platform on drug discovery and development workflows, recommending adjustments to strategy as necessary to optimize results.

Functional and Technical Expertise

  • Business Strategy and Operations : Proven experience in designing and executing business models, managing large-scale operations, and leading cross-functional teams.

  • Drug Discovery Knowledge : Strong understanding of pharmaceutical R&D processes, particularly how AI/ML can be applied to accelerate drug discovery.

  • Partnership Development : Experience in evaluating and advancing partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including biotech, tech bio, CROs, and venture capital firms.

  • Project and Financial Management : Skilled in developing business cases, managing budgets, and overseeing large-scale projects.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making : Ability to leverage data to inform strategic decisions, particularly in the context of platform operations and partnership development.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
