Position Overview:

Purpose, Scope & Dimension of Job :
The Dean is a front-line leader of the college, a member of the Workforce and Economic Development Leadership staff, and a member of the college management team. The Dean of Workforce and Economic Development is responsible for the leadership, vision and oversight for the Colleges Workforce and Economic Development ( WED ) division which includes directing the daily operations of the and Workforce Education Center programs, staff development, operational and strategic planning, financial resource assistance, compliance with federal and state policies, funds management, and the delivery of outstanding services for students, families, and community members at various locations. A broad knowledge of academic courses and programs, financial procedures, student services, and community engagement functions is essential for the success of the position and the departments that it oversees.
The Dean will work closely with community members, educational organizations, and a variety of agencies to identify educational/training needs and future grant-funded programs, which are supported by Mott Community College. The Dean will work collaboratively with Academic Deans and Student Success Services areas to expose participants to other educational opportunities, financial aid information, and available support services.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position is responsible for directing and supervising the staff of multiple locations, which includes the following positions: Directors, Administrators, Associate Administrators, Coordinators, Technicians, Intake/Records Processors, Trainers/Facilitators, Career Navigators Program Assistants, Contractors, and Work Study students.
- Masters degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. (Equivalency is Bachelors degree plus four (4) years of related experience).
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership and supervisory experience in post-secondary education, the business or public sector, or a technology-based industry.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in career and technical education, curriculum design, and/or a workforce training/development management role; can be concurrent with #2.
- Must have two (2) years supervisory experience, including hiring, developing, and managing employee performance, can be concurrent with #2.
- Documented success securing funding through outside resources (grant, earmark, foundations, etc.)
- Demonstrated budget management experience including budget maintenance of projects of similar size and complexity
- Budget experience that encompasses the management of resources and the reconciliation of competing needs in excess of available resources.
- High energy level, sense of humor, diplomatic/tactful, and passionate about the dimensions of this position.
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills including the ability to anticipate needs and concerns of stakeholders.
- History of being open-minded, supportive, trustworthy, and fair.
- Demonstrated project planning and management, time management, and priority setting skills. Ability to work successfully in a high stress environment, handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Demonstrated history of on-time delivery of projects; project coordination; and anticipation of issues.

- Experience developing and managing Perkins/ CTE , and Workforce programs (federal, state, and local) including developing programs and curriculum that integrates credit and non-credit, and/or competency based education.
- Experience in program accreditation processes.
- Experience writing and managing grants, meeting timelines, and demonstrating knowledge of compliance.
- Professional affiliation/contacts with regional or national training or technology groups
- Supervisory experience in a unionized work environment.
With or without accommodation, the employee in this position needs to move about and position him/herself to access files and operate office machinery. The employee must be able to work at a desk for long periods of time and operate a computer workstation and telephone. Due to the managerial/customer service aspect of this position, it is necessary to communicate both in person and over the telephone with a variety of people each day. It is also essential to occasionally transport up to twenty (20) pounds. This position works in a normal office environment.
The minimum reasoning skills necessary for this position include the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization does not exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. The minimum language skills necessary for this position include the ability to read and interpret documents such as technical procedure manuals.
Work Schedule
In addition to regular business hours, the person in this position must be able to be flexible around the needs of the department, which includes occasional evening and/or weekend hours.

Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic engineer who would be responsible for the design, development, and technical performance of RF related products, for providing technical expertise to product development teams, and for supporting the test methods required for the development of RF related products.
What You Will Do
- Design LNA (low-noise-amplifier) circuit using computer aided SW for RF/EM simulation, develop prototype samples, evaluate performance in vehicle and component level test chambers up to 10GHz.
- Fabricate and test novel LNA designs for use in practical vehicle applications such as GNSS, SiriusXM, Satellite Radio, AM/FM, DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast), and some passive circuitries for Cellular 5G, V2X, Wi-Fi/BT, and other wireless devices.
- Evaluate and characterize LNA performance by conducting Electrical/RF tests such as Gain, Noise Figure, impedance matching, intermodulation, isolation, and optimization in the defined configurations.
- Compose written reports to fully document all project activity.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to a variety of small or large groups to help team discussions and decisions.
- As part of Product Development Engineering team, work and collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering, Validation Engineering, Manufacturing Integration Engineering and Project Management team to develop new products till safe launch with quality, meeting the target KPIs and requirements.
- Understand and manage required project tasks with timelines, provide the updates to the team or supervisor.
- Provide support and assistance to project team and manufacturing team as needed.
- Provide VA/VE solutions, alternative components for manufacturer's discontinuation based on the engineering evaluation and strategies.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement software tools and hardware (test equipment) to reduce EV design cycle time and improve product development efficiency.
- Research market trend and technologies inside and outside of the industry that can enhance product values and competitiveness, remaining as industrial lead.
- Understanding PBM (Principle Based Management) philosophy and culture as Koch group company, focusing long term growth and success for individual and organizations.
Who You Are
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience in LNA design and product development.
• 5+ years of experience in Electrical/RF engineering, or in Electro-Magnetics field.
