Job function: To join Qualcomm’s Customer Engineering team in an FAE/SW applications role. To forge strong and trusted relationships with key Industrial partners, to support customer development of exciting new Qualcomm SoC based products with next-generation AI, Machine learning, computer vision, and cellular communication technologies. FAE SW Apps role: Build relationships with Industrial customers and partners. Support customers in their product development lifecycle. Support business teams in their discussions with customers. Understand key aspects of customers' system requirements and designs. Train customers and partners on Qualcomm’s platforms and features. Collaborate across multiple teams and locations. Travel extensively to directly support customers. Skills/experience: Required: Fluent Italy/Native written and oral communication. Good English written and oral communication. 14+ years of industrial experience supporting embedded/industrial IoT customers based on Tier1 chipsets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high motivation, the ability to learn quickly, and must be a self-starter. Preferred: Familiar with embedded systems and real-time OS - exposure to one or more of Linux, Yocto, Ubuntu, Windows systems – bring-up, device tree, peripheral customizations. Understanding of computer system architecture (core, cache, memory models, bus architecture, etc.). Experience in C/C++ programming, systems knowledge. Experience with testing tools/scripts (Python, shell script) development on Windows and Linux. Hardware systems design experience. Education requirements: Masters, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills in either German, French, or Italian (as per location) and English (both written and oral). Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. 3+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. 3+ years of experience with debugging techniques. *References to a particular number of years of experience are for indicative purposes only.
