The Opportunity: The Tech BP&A team is responsible for providing comprehensive financial support to the Technology organization. This includes forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and business partnering. The team works closely with senior leaders and business partners to ensure effective financial management and to support strategic decision-making. The Financial Analyst will be a member of the Sephora BP&A team, supporting the financial health and strategic direction of the Technology organization. This high-visibility position offers the opportunity to collaborate with senior leaders and contribute to a dynamic and positive team culture. The Financial Analyst's primary responsibilities include conducting monthly variance analysis to identify trends and opportunities, refining forecast models to improve accuracy, and maintaining key financial reporting deliverables. Support the Senior Finance Manager with managing the monthly close, budget/forecast for operating expenses. Attend monthly close meetings, assist with the booking of accruals, reconcile budget and forecast variances to actual results, and prepare variance reports Partner with Finance (including Accounting and other BP&A members) and Departmental business partners to effectively manage all finance activities. Monitor and review expense trends, and communicate any trends, issues or key risks in a timely fashion Prepare materials for monthly expense reviews with business partners to track actuals and develop and maintain monthly forecast Identify and recommend process improvements as appropriate Perform ad hoc analysis to support the decision-making process for the leadership team. We’d love to hear from you if you have… 2+ years of related business experience, ideally with proven experience in reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and monthly close activities Intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills Excel financial modeling skills and financial Systems, SAP and Anaplan a plus Intermediate accounting knowledge required Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational and task management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner cross functionally with all levels of the organization Proven ability to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business decisions Strict attention to detail, be a motivated self-starter with an ability to set and meet tight deadlines Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced environment LI-MMG The annual base salary range for this position is $99,790.00- $111,530.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
