ProSidian seeks a Career, Technical, and Adult Education Policy Expert (AER2) to provide Education, And Academia Sector related Management And Operations Solutions for Logistical Support for Adult Education Reform Services on behalf of The Department of Education (DoEd). These services are considered part of the ProSidian Education, And Academia Sector Group with relevant Education, And Academia Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support an engagement for DOED.

Serves as a Career, Technical, and Adult Education Policy Expert and work as a part of a team to provide Facilitation, and Logistical Support for Adult Education Reform to the Department of Education Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) | Division of Adult Education and Literacy (DAEL). The purpose of this task order is to provide subject matter expertise and logistical support to the Department of Education for the production of policy-related materials and a variety of meetings.

Responsibilities include conducting research and analysis on current and emerging issues related to Career, Technical, and Adult Education, developing and implementing policies and programs to support Career, Technical, and Adult Education, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address policy gaps and barriers, analyzing and evaluating policy outcomes and providing recommendations for improvement, and communicating policy findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Desired qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Public Policy, or a related field, at least five years of experience working in CTE and adult education policy development and implementation, strong knowledge of national and international policies related to CTE and adult education, excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Position Description
This position Lead Impact Education Trainer & Policy Specialist (ASO4) is responsible for embedding equitable policies, practices, and processes into new laws and ordinances, expanding the current training efforts of the Office of Impact and promoting alignment of Metro's equity goals. This position will also provide general administrative support for the CIO and the other members of the Office of Impact staff as necessary.
Metro Finance has several divisions, including management and budget, accounting, procurement, treasury, financial accountability, and public property. The department's employees are charged with providing financial management, information and business products to policy makers, departments, investors and the Nashville community to give them confidence in our government and to help them make informed decisions.
Typical Duties

  • Identifies needs and proposes adjustments to the current training framework of the Office of Impact.
  • Develops training curriculum and monitors changes in governmental laws and regulation to ensure that training stays current.
  • Assists in coordinating and administering equity-related topics and presentations for Metro departments and agencies.
  • Assists with the development of reports, charts, and/or graphs for varying documents; assists in preparing training materials and written and oral presentations for both internal and external audiences.
  • Leads the integration of Impact strategies across Metro, more broadly, supporting efforts that build awareness and creates an inclusive space for employees and communities.
  • Collaborates with Central HR to develop content and execute internal training experiences.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree plus (3) years of professional experience in education, public administration including experience in planning and delivering programs

**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for administering and interpreting existing documented service policies and tariffs for internal and external customers by providing guidance in service policy. Proposes language for tariff changes which influences corporate policy and customer requirements.
+ Responsible for addressing escalated internal and external customer questions to facilitate the understanding and consistent application of policies and interpretations of the tariffs.
+ Coordinates with other business units to resolve external customer requests for exceptions to the company's Standard for Installation and Use.
+ Works with internal departments to recommend tariff changes to Service Policy to meet corporate goals while maintaining levels of regulatory compliance and fairness to all customers.
