This is a significant growth area in the construction industry providing modularized construction solutions for small and large scaled projects. These modularized building components, and buildings, include structural steel, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) fabrication and site installation. Operations are based in Pleasant Grove, Utah, this role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence across the US and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and qualify leads for modular/off-site construction services involving steel, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Industries would include:
    • Semiconductor, Data Centers, Electrical Infrastructure, Power Plants (including nuclear), Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas, and Advanced Manufacturing
  • Develop and nurture key relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and design-build teams.
  • Present integrated modularized building solutions that demonstrate value in speed, quality, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, and production teams to deliver accurate proposals and schedules.
  • Attend industry trade shows, client meetings, and networking events across the U.S. as part of a strategic business development approach.
  • Monitor trends and companies who are or could benefit from modularized construction. Use this information to develop sales strategies.
  • Maintain CRM records and prepare regular activity and pipeline reports.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 5+ years of business development or technical sales experience with large complex construction projects, construction modularization, or industrial services.
  • Leverages a well-established network in business development.
  • Understanding of modular/off-site manufacturing methods and their application in commercial construction.
  • Knowledge of structural steel, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (MEP).
  • Proven success developing new accounts in multi-state territories.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Ensure qualification targets/ objectives are achieved monthly, quarterly, and annually.

We are committed to developing sales professionals and have a strong promote from within culture. Our BDR program is designed to develop individuals for Account Executive and other sales roles. The highest performing BDRs at Vasion are self-motivated, energized by outbound sales and cold calling, have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, have an aptitude for sales, are continuous learners, and have a competitive attitude. As a BDR, you will prospect into targeted accounts to qualify and convert leads into sales opportunities. Leads are generated from cold call lists on accounts that fit our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). BDRs will contact leads with the goal of qualifying and creating sales opportunities for Account Executives (AE) they are aligned with.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with management and peers to complete an intense day training process
  • Develop knowledge of company products and solutions while learning industry trends through ongoing product and industry training
  • Collaboratively work with team members to develop an overall territory account plan that maximizes prospecting opportunities and generates sales activity
  • Serve as the first point of contact for leads and qualify for demos
  • Prospect into target accounts and import leads into an outbound workflow
  • Make daily outbound calls/emails to Sales Accepted Leads (SAL) and follow up on assigned tasks
  • Utilize LinkedIn to prospect and build a network of our target audience and make regular posts about the Vasion product
  • Achieve or exceed challenging and changing monthly demo quotas and daily activity targets
  • Deliver compelling value propositions that resonate with prospective customers
  • Utilize CRM systems to track and manage sales activities and maintain accurate customer records
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 6+ months experience in direct sales
  • Proven track record of exceeding challenging quotas or targeted revenue goals
  • Ability to travel 2-3 times a quarter for a period of 2-3 days for trade shows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B, SaaS, or tech industry direct sales experience
  • Experience using CRM, sales engagements, and prospecting platforms and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, or a related field

Essential Job Duties

  • Lead generation through research and contact sourcing, conducting cold calls, sending emails, and utilizing LinkedIn to connect with prospects and schedule meetings.
