Job Description:
The Forklift Operator safely operates forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials, load and unload trailers, and may assist with order filling and checking. This role supports efficient warehouse operations while following safety guidelines.
-No recent gap in forklift operation within the last 6 months

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (Reach, EPJ, Sit-down, Clamp) to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials within the warehouse.
-Load and Unload Trailers
-Order Fulfillment Support
Warehouse Upkeep
Job Requirements:
-Experience operating Reach, EPJ, Sit-down, and/or Clamp forklifts
-No recent gap in forklift operation within the last 6 months
-Ability to work overtime and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
-Able to lift and/or pull 50 lbs. without restriction
-Reliable transportation required

You might be a good fit if you have:
+ Minimum of 3 years' experience in equipment operating and maintenance
And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:
+ Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic

+ Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)
+ Ability to work in extreme conditions - temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit

We are seeking a motivated Production Equipment Operator to join our business. This is a steel production equipment operator position responsible for properly reading and executing work orders to timely meet customer requirements. This non-exempt (hourly) position typically reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities. The position requires working in accordance with Triple-S Steel job requirements and Safe Methods of Work. Overtime hours may be required to meet our customers' needs.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Triple-S safe methods of work at all times, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
  • Manipulate, cut and/or form raw material according to work orders to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment as assigned, including but not limited to tape measure, caliper, shear, CNC burning table, band saw, iron worker, track burner, haven tube cutter, forklift, overhead crane and personal protective equipment.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 20 feet to heights of 5 feet; exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, reach, squat, stand, walk up to 2 miles per day, climb up stairs, ladders and on equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects.
  • Use clear vision to judge near and far distance to maintain awareness of ongoing work activities of other employees.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions including precipitation, cold/heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The Production Equipment Operator will be regularly exposed to the typical weather of the local area.
  • Attend all required company meetings.

Qualifications
  • Ability to correctly read and understand work orders and/or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Ability to effectively use basic computer applications.
  • Demonstrate intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of material and inventory control techniques and procedures.

Who We Are:
Cenveo, a leader in envelope production for over a century, is looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Envelope Equipment Operators at our City of Industry, CA facility, specifically for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Compensation Package:

  • Begin at $25/hour, with higher pay rates for those with extensive experience.
  • Shift bonuses include .70/hr for 2nd shift and $1.50/hr for 3rd shift.
  • Work hours are 2pm – 10pm for 2nd shift and 10pm – 6am for 3rd shift, after training on 1st shift.
  • The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required during peak times reliant on business needs.

Operational Duties:

  • Responsible for setting and fine-tuning converting machinery for reliable and safe operation.
  • Conduct machine setups, address troubleshooting, execute changeovers, and carry out preventive maintenance.
  • Support training efforts and deliver overtime coverage when necessary.
  • Scrutinize products as they are produced to guarantee adherence to quality controls.
  • Adherence to all facility safety rules and regulations is compulsory.
  • Additional tasks as designated by management.

Job Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is essential.
  • Minimum of five years of applied experience in the envelope manufacturing industry.
  • Outstanding mechanical and problem-solving capacities.
  • Ability in basic mathematics and metric reading, plus fundamental computer literacy.
  • Flexibility in machine usage and assignment.

Working Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Consistent physical activities such as standing, lifting, reaching, and stooping are required.
  • Frequently handle or move items weighing up to 55 lbs with assistance.
  • Experience working around noise, machinery, and under variable temperature settings.
  • Alertness is crucial to manage equipment efficiently throughout each shift.
