Oakstop is a social enterprise startup that uses commercial real estate as a platform for economic development and community empowerment by providing workspace, meeting/event space, and creative space for entrepreneurs, artists, and communities of color.
We are experiencing significant and rapid growth and seek an Event Sales Representative to facilitate our various event needs across multiple event venues. Working closely with our Event Sales Manager, and Bookings Team, the Event Sales Representative will play an integral role in the success of corporate and cultural events, assist with the preparation and execution of each event/meeting as requested by the client during each assigned shift, while also providing stellar customer service. The Event Sales Representative will field incoming leads, schedule bookings, communicate follow-up activities to staff, and execute sales strategies to acquire new customers or clients. The Event Sales Representative will also need to be knowledgeable about Oakstop as a business and be able to promote our available services and spaces to other guests and clients during events.
The ideal candidate has experience working in either client relationship, event planning, event management, or general customer service positions. They will be comfortable meeting a broad range of people and being a proactive team player in a fast-paced, often intense, environment. A personal relationship with Oakland is appreciated, as our work is deeply rooted in the community.
Schedule- This is a full-time, non-exempt position
- Schedule may include weekends and evenings, but is flexible throughout weekdays.

- 1+ years of proven experience working as an Event Sales Manager, Events Coordinator or Event Production Manager
- 1+ years of proven experience managing and motivating staff
- Deep knowledge of event production and management
- Understanding of quality standards for corporate events, cultural events, and personal events
- Knowledge of performance management and evaluation practices
- Understanding of a broad range of audio/visual equipment, inclusive of troubleshooting ability
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Asana, and knowledge of Tripleseat is a plus
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (with internal staff and external clients)
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Superior critical thinking, attention to detail, and decision-making skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree is a plus
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and weekday business hours
- Able to engage an existing personal or professional network around Oakstop's offerings
- Must have friendly disposition and be comfortable interacting with customers of all kinds
- Experience with conflict resolution strategies and an ability to diffuse client frustration
- Excellent communication skills; in-person, over the phone, and via formal emails

We are looking for an experienced Event Coordinator to manage a wide variety of programs and events at the Agentblazer Ranch in San Francisco. This is a key role that will work closely with the team and lead event planning development and execution. Core Responsibilities This position is responsible for the operational excellence of Agentblazer Ranch Experience programs and events, and the holistic guest experience, including but not limited to: planning & detailing out evening receptions, partner events, customer events, and employee events. Strong hospitality and executive interaction experience. Ability to be consultative with customers as well as internal employees, looking to host events. Manage pre-planning, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up, including lessons learned tracking. Act with a beginner’s mindset to maintain team playbooks for event planning processes to scale and remain efficient. Co-manage external relationships and work with internal teams to execute programs and events. Assist the Agentblazer Ranch team with various projects as assigned. Back-up to Agentblazer Ranch Ambassador when needed. In-office position, 5 days a week with some travel to offsite locations for events. Working hours are subject to change based on business needs including evenings. Required Skills Availability to support our programming hours in person and provide onsite support. 2+ years successful event management experience planning customer-centric events in a fast-paced, B2B, large enterprise (+1B) technology environment. Possess strong customer service experience; candidates with a solid events background and are highly personable and service focused. Proficiency in using Google Workspace (Sheets, GCal, Slides) and Quip. Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to proactively address stakeholder needs. Ability to manage multiple programs at one time without compromising execution. Desired Skills Results-oriented, customer driven, organized with attention to detail. The opportunity
Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we're excited to hire an Event Coordinator to join our growing Events Team! Reporting to the Events Marketing Manager, you'll support the strategy and execution of our digital and local events that drive pipeline, brand awareness, and advisor engagement. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and external partners to deliver high-touch experiences that align with business goals and represent the Altruist brand.
Your impact
- Webinars
- Manage and execute Altruist's webinar program from end to end, including scheduling, setup, and technical production
- Own speaker coordination and dry runs to ensure a smooth and professional delivery
- Collaborate with Marketing and Design to develop promotional campaigns and event assets
- Track attendance, engagement, and post-webinar metrics to assess impact and continuously optimize
- Altruist Experience
- Support the Sales team to execute in-office events with strategic prospects
- Coordinate with internal teams to organize on-site logistics
- Support with travel logistics as needed, including booking flights, accommodations and local transportation
- Project manage pre & post-event communication and follow-ups, ensuring the event owner executes an effective communication plan while tracking KPIs
- Track event budget and invoice processing
- Field Marketing Events
- Support the Sales team to plan and execute branded field events in key markets
- Lead venue sourcing and coordinate event logistics
- Help drive registration and engagement for events that accelerate deals and build pipeline
- Cross-Program Support & Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure aligned messaging and high-quality attendee experiences
- Event budget tracking and invoice processing to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency
- Provide on-the-ground support at major events and other branded experiences if required
- Manage vendor relationships across swag, print, signage, and other event-related production needs
- Track KPIs and support post-event reporting to help the team measure impact and optimize future efforts
- Travel frequently (10-20%) to manage on-site production and ensure flawless execution
- Experience - 3 + years of experience working in event marketing; preferably in a B2B fintech or SaaS organization
- Experience managing webinars or virtual events with measurable outcomes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and vendors
- A passion for building meaningful, high-touch event experiences that drive community and business results
- Willingness to travel 10-20% of the time to oversee events
- Education - Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, etc.
