JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Associate is responsible for general duties in support of the OpCo (operating company) operations and works in collaboration with SBS (Sysco Business Services) to assist in resolving exceptions and issues. Specific duties will including, handling of local payments, deposits, managing petty cash, will call transactions, scanning of supporting documentation, and local regulatory compliance. This Finance role is responsible for performing selected Finance and accounting duties that are transactional or administrative.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compile comprehensive reports and presentations, distilling market dynamics and financial outcomes as well as present sales results and future forecasts to Commercial, providing strategic context.
  • Prepare financial reports such as sales roll-forward, key opportunities and risks, PPD schedules vs benchmarks with clear narratives and back-up support.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support informed decision making.

Business Partnering:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to address business challenges, offering strategic financial insights and solutions.

Job Description Summary:

Sales Compensation Perform compensation system setups and sales compensation calculations including but not limited to actuals, forecasts, accruals, payout tie-outs, yearend true up calculations, and summary analytics. Planning Participate in Forecast, AOP and Strat Plan processes with primary ownership of commissions account which includes identifying opportunities and mitigating risks. Business Reporting and Analysis Prepare and assess report data (e.g., daily net sales, month-end matrix report, headcount reporting, trend analysis, planned and forecast variance analysis, etc.) to identify opportunities for course correction/course alignment. Providing justification and communication for variances. Month-End Close Prepare commissions related journal entries and account reconciliations, monthly reporting decks, HC summaries, review financial measures, provide guidance and advice regarding cost center performance. Develop BU specific reports and dashboarding to help streamline processes and provide efficiencies. Special Projects Support Critical Care Finance Team Projects focused on improving ad hoc reporting and analysis, data analytics, and business processes (i.e., Transition of reports to Tableau). Compliance Ensure Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS) to develop explanations for internal and external auditors. Data analytics with SQL on ad hoc reports.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Analytics (any), Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Business Administration or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. This role sits at the intersection of Sales and Finance, driving revenue predictability, optimizing sales productivity, and informing executive decisions through strategic insights. You will lead revenue forecasting, incentive compensation planning, and sales performance analysis while partnering with Finance and Sales Leadership to ensure alignment between sales activity and corporate goals, all in support of scalable growth. THE DAY-TO-DAY Own consolidated revenue and topline forecasting in close coordination with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance leadership. Lead planning and financial modeling for annual sales goals and headcount planning, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives. Deliver executive-level reporting and insights on sales performance trends, KPI analysis, pipeline health metrics, and goal attainment to enable better business decisions.
