As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Element Materials Technology, you will be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding accounts, resolving customer billing issues in collaboration with our labs, applying unapplied cash, and working to reduce accounts receivable delinquency.
This is a hybrid role: 3 days in our Blue Ash location & 2 days remote
ResponsibilitiesGenerate weekly spreadsheets detailing lab accounts receivable aging.
Evaluate open accounts to initiate collection efforts.
Document concise and pertinent notes for accounts receivable aging.
Conduct monthly review calls with labs regarding account statuses.
Execute collection of calls/emails professionally while fostering customer relationships.
Distribute client statements and invoices as required.
Resolve client billing issues and investigate all overdue accounts.
Log disputes into financial systems to ensure prompt resolutions.
Identify and discuss account-related issues with management.
Collaborate with labs and General Managers to utilize customer aging reports for reducing collections.
Apply unapplied cash and conduct necessary research to reconcile accounts.
Skills / QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in a multi-site/location collections role, or 1 year of experience combined with a college degree, preferably in accounting or a related field.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting accounting-related documents.
Effective communication skills for both internal (managers, peers, team members) and external (customers) interactions.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as invoice totals, payment terms, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and apply basic accounting concepts.

- Works with Tax Vice President in all tax planning for corporate joint ventures, acquisitions, formations, dispositions and liquidations, and challenges the efficacy of all tax advice so as to determine the need for reserves for tax exposures.

**The opportunity**
Our Business Tax Advisory practice gives you the opportunity to focus on U.S. tax information reporting & withholding matters. You will work in a group environment on challenging information reporting and withholding engagements across all financial services sectors. We offer the specialization in assisting clients with mission-critical operational tax issues and customer reporting issues. Specifically, our experienced practitioners work across tax and operations to deliver advice and support throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with colleagues to assist clients in understanding relevant tax rules and implementing changes to their operations, processes and systems. The CTOR team works on challenging information reporting and withholding engagements in the financial services, banking, insurance, and multinational sectors. These engagements will primarily focus on non-resident alien (NRA) withholding and reporting (IRC Sections 1441 to 1446), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), and domestic withholding and reporting matters. You can expect to work on engagements dealing with the FATCA, cost basis reporting, and various other global compliance and reporting initiatives, such as the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). As you progress within EY and our CTOR tax team, you will become a trusted business advisor to your clients. As you develop, you will benefit from being led and mentored by nationally recognized tax professionals who include some of the firm's most senior tax talent.
The CTOR Tax Services practice invests in the development of its team, with frequent virtual training, update calls and in-person trainings to help individuals develop technical skills and learn about new areas of the law. Through your experiences, you will develop your skill sets and learn how CTOR requirements are managed within large to medium size companies.
**Your key responsibilities**
You will interface daily with superiors, peers and subordinates and clients on large and small CTOR projects. This could include interpreting IRS Code and Regulations, drafting guidance, data analyzation and requirements development that help clients translate and implement these rules. You may conduct a gap analysis of the current state of clients' policies, procedures and systems and write business requirements. You will be part of a team that prepares documentation including presentations and flow charts. You will be involved in technical analysis, process improvement and respond to requests for proposals from clients. You will also get the opportunity to support the development of innovative technology solutions, as well as train and manage staff located in remote delivery centers.

**Your key responsibilities**
As an Associate Analyst in our Family Office services practice (which is a part of our EY Private practice), you will prepare financial statements for high-net-worth individuals and their related family entities, which would include analyzing and reviewing bank/brokerage accounts as well as private equity and hedge fund capital statements. You will be responsible for supporting the Partner, Managing Director, Senior Manager, Manager, and Senior Associate levels in fulfilling consulting/coordination services as requested by clients. You will also serve as the first level of preparation in the accounts payable process where you will input payments as well as the related general ledger coding.

**To qualify for the role you must have**
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
+ At least one year of practical accounting experience
+ CPA or eligibility to take the CPA exam is a plus

+ We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $58,300 to $6,400. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is 70,100 to 109,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
