Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 1-2 years specifically in the mining, heavy industrial, or construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, EPA regulations, and other relevant EHS standards.
- Proven experience in EHS program development, implementation, and auditing.
- Certifications such as CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and training delivery skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Ensure site compliance with specified SOH requirements, Federal, state and OSHA regulations and all aspects of the APP/SSHP including, but not limited to, activity hazard analyses, sound monitoring, use of PPE, site controls, standard operating procedures used to minimize hazards, safe use of engineering controls, the emergency response plan, confined space entry procedures (as required), spill containment program, and preparation of records by performing a daily safety inspection and documenting results on the Daily Safety Inspection Log.
+ Have an expert knowledge of EM-385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16.
+ Receive oversee and develop Activity Hazard Analysis forms for all definable features of work.

Develops, implements, maintains, and manages project health, safety, worker's compensation, and safety programs. Provides technical expertise necessary to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety, environmental, and worker's compensation regulations.
**Job Description:** Serves as the primary HSE resource for project management to develop and administer a proactive accident prevention program for Carpenter Snow Creek Mining District. Provides technical assistance to field operations to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and client-specific requirements, including EM 385-1-1. Works closely with the Regional HSE Manager, Project Manager and Construction Managers in addressing and resolving HSE technical challenges and issues, while supporting the project. Requires an effective communicator who follows corporate guidance and sets clear, concise health, safety and environmental performance goals with, managers, employees, subcontractors and client representatives.
Conducts compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure that regulatory environmental, safety, and health standards of the company and all applicable codes are followed. Recommends facilities and technological specifications to carry out programs that fulfill the organization's overall objectives. Prepares and reviews technical reports, correspondence, and procedures manuals. Establishes and maintains licenses and permits as required. Internal contacts may include site management, risk management personnel, include business line leads, Health and Safety personnel and office managers. External contacts include clients at work locations and regulatory agencies. This individual exhibits knowledge and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of their environmental specialty. Under minimal supervision, assists in the application and enforcement of company and project standards and regulations. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Some work is routine, and instructions are detailed.
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Ensure implementation of the Project Accident Prevention Plan and applicable client procedures.
+ Conduct Site Safety Orientations and Site Required Training to all APTIM personnel.
+ Participate in and facilitate the APTIM Target Observation program; monitor and analyze safety observation trends and implement corrective actions designed to improve results.
+ Ensure day-to-day safety work processes are followed (e.g., rigging and material handling safety, client Permits, excavation inspections, required personal gas monitoring, JSA implementation, routine safety inspections and reporting).
+ Monitors the pre-job brief process periodically to ensure quality of safety coverage in the briefs.
+ Assists in developing and reviewing Activity Hazard Analyses and Review and Submit the AHAs to the client for acceptance.
+ Assist Supervisors on daily walk-downs and weekly safety supervisor inspections.
+ Reviewing and communication of daily lessons learned in morning meetings and at other appropriate times in the field.
+ Facilitates proper incident investigations and injury management according to current Safety Plan and Site Safety and APTIM Expectations; communicate verbally and written initial incident notification to Site Safety and APTIM Management.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $100,000- $120,000 per year. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.

+ Schedule, coordinate and deliver safety training to workforce; maintain training documentation and attendance records
+ Investigate property damage and personal injury accidents to determine cause and methods to prevent recurrence
+ Prepare incident and accident reports for review by Management and as required by OSHA and other regulatory agencies
+ Facilitate and execute on Company Safety Program and Culture
+ Coordinate workers compensation cases with corporate and insurance carrier personnel
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements**
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software
+ Must be able to read, write and speak English
+ Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information effectively in writing and in presentations or speeches to other employees.
+ Familiarity with environmental, Health and Safety regulations and standards
**Work Experience**
