The Opportunity:
Unity Environmental University seeks enthusiastic individuals to serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop undergraduate courses for students enrolled in healthcare-related programs. These courses will provide instruction and opportunities for to practice key communication skills essential for healthcare professionals. Emphasis will be placed on culturally-compenent communication, client empowerment, and strategies to overcome communication barriers in diverse healthcare settings.SMEs work closely with an academic dean and learning experience designer to advise on and develop curricula. All courses are delivered asynchronously online in 4-week terms.

Qualifications
Do you have the skills?
- An advanced degree (Master's minimum) in communication (or related field), communication education, or healthcare, with practical experience in client/patient communication
- Knowledge of communication skills and practices expected of entry-level healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of best practices for teaching online
- Willingness to embrace the potential of generative AI tools to improve learning and/or workplace performance.
- Ability to efficiently operatea personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
- Ability to write student-facing instructions with clarity. Experience with online teaching and/or distance learners is desirable.
- Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the University.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides timely and meaningful analysis and recommendations on all practice financial policies and processes including ensuring their smooth execution.
- Analyzes, directs and presents financial reports and forecasts to the CFO and other senior leaders, including identifying key drivers, as directed per reporting deadlines.
- Partners with the CFO on the timely analysis of general economic, business, industry and financial trends and their impact upon the practice. Prepares timely financial projections (and assumptions) for use in the business planning process.
- Participates in the development of the practice's cash flow, liquidity and other financial policies for the organization.
- Responsible for forecasting revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures throughout the year and for the timely preparation of the annual budget for the practice, including operating and capital budgets by location, service line, and provider.
- Develops company guidelines and provides financial analysis and guidance for effective contract negotiation.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate (MBA) degree
- Certified Public Accountant designation highly desired.
- 8-10 years of financial professional experience. At least five years at the senior level in a healthcare practice.
- Oncology experience highly preferred.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles and experience with industry reporting and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership attributes including the ability to set direction, build organizational capability, develop collaborative relationships and operate with a high degree of integrity and accountability.
- Proven organizational, project management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to persuade, influence and negotiate.
- Strong analytical abilities to analyze data and make high-level decisions.
- Creates collaboration, collegial relationships with senior leaders and outside partners & vendors.
- Takes initiative to identify issues and recommend solutions. Has the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Holds high ethical standards with an intense desire to succeed. Has the ability to make tough decisions and acts as a change agent.
- Has previous experience managing and motivating staff.
- Has a strategic understanding of information management systems and experience with integrating financial report systems to support business objectives.
