The People & Engagement HR:Connect team is a critical part of Human Resources service delivery for all of Blue Shield of California (BSC). The team provides first level support to all BSC employees on a daily basis for both daily operations and employee-facing initiatives. The HR Specialist, Advanced, will report to the Manager, HR:Connect. In this role you will be assisting all employees on all things Human Resources through enabling self-service, providing phone, chat, and case-based support in addition to executing employee lifecycle transactions.

Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts to address current and future hiring needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage onboarding processes for new hires, including auditing records and ensuring compliance with HR best practices.
- Administer employee benefits programs and oversee open enrollment processes to ensure efficient and accurate implementation.
- Facilitate payroll operations, including timely processing and contract renewals for contract employees.
- Conduct compliance audits and ensure adherence to HR regulations across various regions.
- Address employee relations matters with professionalism and sensitivity, fostering a positive workplace environment.
- Support HR operations for a global workforce, ensuring consistency and compliance across multiple locations.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to manage HR processes and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with resolving FMLA-related issues and other compliance-related challenges.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure HR strategies align with organizational objectives. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on compliance and employee relations.
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and other HR systems.
- Background in the fintech industry is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Self-sufficient and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of FMLA regulations and HR compliance standards.
- Positive and mission-driven mindset, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.
