The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

  • May serve as time and attendance (T&A) subject matter expert providing technical assistance to timekeepers regarding the operations of the timekeeping record system and the latest approved airport timekeeping system. As needed, investigates and resolves timekeeping problems associated with various and unrelated types of issues.
  • Provides administrative advice and assistance to the Federal Security Director (FSD)/ Assistant Federal Security Director (AFSD) and exercises knowledge and skill in applying HR methods, principles sufficient to advise on or resolve moderately complex problems which are typically precedent in nature.
  • Works with HQ Human Capital staff (e.g., staffing, benefits, worker's compensation, management employee relations) to coordinate and resolve employee issues involving service computation dates, pay inquiries, step increases, creditable military service, leave etc.
  • Recruitment and Placement. Advises management on recruitment strategies, sources and special programs, which emphasize affirmative action in staffing positions. Assists in developing short- and long-range staffing plans to forecast personnel mission requirements.
  • Manages and maintains full visibility over all RPAs from cradle to grave and provide advice/assistance in all stages of the recruitment process. Makes recommendations on recruitment strategies and actions to be taken to expedite the recruitment process.

To qualify for the SV-F Pay Band (equivalent to 5/7/9), you must meet one of the qualification requirements (A, B, OR C) outlined below:

A. Experience: For those qualifying using experience, your application must clearly outline three (3) years of progressively responsible general experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least the SV-E Pay Band or GS-4 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to human resources work.

OR B. Education: bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field from an accredited college or university.

OR C. Combining of Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements and may be computed by first determining the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the position; then determining the education as a percentage of the education required for the position; and then adding the two percentages. About the Role:

As an HR Technician, you'll perform a variety of clerical and technical duties under direct supervision. You'll be an important part of our HR operations-supporting workers' compensation, employee benefits, wellness programs, process improvements, and day-to-day front desk customer service.

In this role, you will assist and support the Benefits & Workers' Compensation division with several key initiatives, including:
  • Assist in the smooth transition to a new workers' compensation vendor
  • Updating content on our internal HR websites
  • Preparing for the upcoming open enrollment period
  • Create and launch benefits related communication campaigns

Essential Duties
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Prepares, processes, distributes, and maintains a variety of personnel records, documents, files, logs, applicants, benefits and status changes, and/or other related human resources information.
  • Responds to requests for information from employees and/or the general public over the phone, in person, and via e-mail regarding a variety of Human Resources programs, job opportunities, and/or other related information.
  • Enters a variety of information into databases; compiles data, provides analysis and prepares related reports, correspondence, and collateral materials.
  • Provides research assistance in a variety of areas, such as employee relations, training, benefits, occupational health and safety, workers' compensation, and communications.
  • Schedules and participates in site visits and training sessions, including new employee enrollment and orientation.
  • Assists with day-to-day workers compensation operations activities. This includes, but not limited to; answering day to day employee, department and third party questions about workers compensation; creating accrual buckets to ensure accurate timecard coding; help with managing workers compensation claims
  • Assists with day-to-day benefit operations activities. This includes, but not limited to; answering day to day employee, department and third party questions; completing accurate and timely benefit entries; running and transmitting monthly reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Sufficient education, training and/or work experience to demonstrate possession of the following knowledge and skills, which would typically be acquired through:
  • Associates Degree and two years experience in technical or clerical human resources programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSHRD) and HR certification (SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred
  • 10-20 years of progressive HR experience, including ≥5 years in senior leadership roles within high-growth, tech or manufacturing environments-renewable energy experience strongly preferred . Experience HR management on software development organization in fast pace and agile working environments.
  • Strong expertise in HR operations, recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance, compliance, and employee relations
  • Deep understanding of employment law and HR best practices across multiple jurisdictions
  • Proven track record leading organizational development, change management, engagement, and DEI initiatives
