Do you have a spark for working with electrical and mechanical components? We have an exciting opportunity for an   Industrial Maintenance Electrician   at our state-of-the-art facility in Rome, GA. This is a night shift position, working from 5pm to 5am, Thursday to Saturday, and every other Wednesday. The starting pay for this role is $38.97 per hour.

You will be partnering with Operations, Quality Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety personnel. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

·    Maintaining Equipment and Amplifying Your PLC Knowledge   – Alternating between troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-the-spot machine repair, with a firm focus on programmable logic controllers.

·    Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions   – Identifying and examining production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis, interpreting schematics and drawings, and repairing electrical & mechanical systems such as pneumatics, drives, hydraulics, and conveyors.

·    Prioritizing Innovation and Communication   – Actively seeking ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings, while maintaining an open dialogue with lead and supervisor regarding day-to-day activities.

We’re Looking for Someone With

·    High School diploma or GED

·    Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

·    Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems

·    Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day, with occasional lifting up to 50lbs

·    An active Journeyman license (electrical) or PLC experience

Job Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring optimal operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:

•Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

•Performs general electronic inspections, diagnosis, repairs and replacements autonomously.

•Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

•Makes failure analysis, establishing the problems' root causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions.

•Performs electric and electronic activities such as low voltage panel repairs, PLC programs loading or DC/AC engines speed control.

•Detects abnormalities on sensors, actuators or variable speed drives.

•Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports.

•Performs electrical, electronic, automation and electromechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment, overhead cranes, electrical installations of the building (600 VAC and below), offices installations.

•Knowledge of performing or assisting on electrical installations using EMT, rigid, liquid tight conduits; install wire ways, disconnects, junction box; run wires, cables, network cables according to NEC.

•Perform preventive maintenance on electrical machines and equipment.

•Coordinate maintenance plans and schedules with the production supervisors.

•Participate in the creation of preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.

Qualifications:

•High school diploma or equivalent required.

The Maintenance Technician helps ensure the successful operation of the facility by resolving mechanical issues, recommending alternative repairs and equipment upgrades, identifying quality concerns, and understanding the production threshold of the equipment.

Salary:

  • Our starting pay is at$26.94/hr. up to $34.69/hr. depending on experience.
  • You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the mill.

Shift:
  • Only candidates who are flexible and available to workany shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • 12 hours shifts. You will work 8 days on and 6 days off.
  • The week of orientation will be8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday,and you will be assigned your regular shift after your orientation.

Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Day Shift)

What You Will Do

  • Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures and actively participating in the safety program.
  • Support operations efficiency through troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Performing periodic proactive asset strategies, such as maintenance routes, preventative maintenance, and other tasks to improve reliability and uptime.
  • Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, belts, and couplings.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatic systems, control devices, hydraulic equipment, circuits, and components
  • Working with the operations and maintenance teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Using pipefitting skills to weld, cut, fit, and install piping throughout the facility.
  • Assisting operators or crew members with machine start-up, shutdown or clean up.
  • Researching parts in equipment manuals and submitting work ordersin a computerized maintenance management program.
