As an Engineer in Apple Information Security, you will:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong skills in common systems programming languages.

  • Understanding of operating system fundamentals.

  • Experience with framework and daemon development.

  • Experience with hardware and/or software development lifecycle processes.

  • Experience in continuous development practices (CI/CD, rollback, canaries, feature flags, etc.).

  • Understanding of the latest configuration management technologies, security issues, and protocols.

  • Understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks and protocols, e.g. OAuth/OpenID/SAML.

  • Working knowledge of network security and applied cryptography.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,800 and $245,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

About The Role:

As a CBRE Divisional Business Information Security Officer (BISO), you will join CBRE's Global Business Information Security team and serve as a trusted advisor between cybersecurity and business operations. You will serve as a catalyst for aligning security with business goals, contributing to the overall success of CBRE.   • Collaborate with Global BISO, Cyber Incident Response, Security Operations Center and Client Assurance teams, in response to division-specific security incidents, coordinating with broader security, technology, legal, compliance and corporate communication teams, as needed.

  • Drive cyber control adoption, as well as remediation of cybersecurity issues (including audit findings, regulatory compliance items, contractual compliance issues, regulatory compliance requirements) and cybersecurity control gaps through coordination of and communication of remediation plans.

  • Assist the CBRE Client Assurance team with division-related client requests by providing business insights and using your knowledge to connect the team with appropriate partners.

  • Assist with risk analysis and assessment, identifying potential security threats, and developing mitigation strategies tailored to the business risk profile and specific business needs.

  • Translate corporate security policies, standards and cyber-related regulatory requirements into actionable plans for the assigned division, ensuring awareness within the business and assisting to drive consistency to policies, standards and compliance requirements.

  • Assist with development, implementation, and evolution of cybersecurity-related processes, including but not limited to application registration, cyber risk evaluation, cybersecurity control self-assessment processes while partnering with product and technology teams to drive successful and timely execution of these processes.

  • Serve in a consulting/advising function to optimally identify relevant cybersecurity requirements (example - MFA, WAF, etc.) for new and existing projects/initiatives, in partnership with appropriate product teams and subject-matter experts, ultimately driving the implementation of security into the division's products and services, balancing business needs with security requirements.

  • Supervise the assigned division's cybersecurity objectives and measures and assist the division's business and technology teams with prioritization of cybersecurity-related efforts needed to address control adoption and/or operational control deficiencies.

  • Educate division staff on cybersecurity standard methodologies, integration of cybersecurity controls, and importance of meeting targets for cybersecurity-related operational measures.

  • Creates and maintains a data register to document all data assets, their classifications, including ownership and stewardship roles to ensure accountability for data quality and compliance.
  • Develops and maintains a data classification policy to guarantee proper handling, access, and segregation of sensitive information, including intellectual property.
  • Partners with the business stakeholders to promote data governance initiatives supporting consistent and continuous adherence to data governance policies and procedures.
  • Fosters a data-driven culture by providing training and resources to data stewards and users.
  • Develops, monitors and enforces compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to data management and privacy.

Information Security is a central focus of KP.   • Knowledge of database security, api security, and secure data transfer protocols.

Data Governance Establishes and implements a data governance framework that aligns with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements, including policies, standards, and procedures for data management. Creates and maintains a data register to document all data assets, their classifications, including ownership and stewardship roles to ensure accountability for data quality and compliance. Develops and maintains a data classification policy to guarantee proper handling, access, and segregation of sensitive information, including intellectual property. Partners with the business stakeholders to promote data governance initiatives supporting consistent and continuous adherence to data governance policies and procedures. Fosters a data-driven culture by providing training and resources to data stewards and users. Develops, monitors and enforces compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to data management and privacy. Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards. Develops and enforces data security policies to protect sensitive information, including Intellectual Property, from internal or external unauthorized access, usage and breaches. Implements processes and controls to safeguard intellectual property and proprietary information. Defines and enforces policies for IP handling, storage, and sharing to meet contractual requirements. Partners and collaborates with legal and contracts teams to ensure applicable contracts include provisions for data protection and IP security. Conducts regular audits and assessments to identify and address data governance gaps. Evaluates and implements data governance tools and technologies to support data management and compliance efforts. Monitors the effectiveness of data governance tools and make recommendations for improvements. Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts. The expected WA salary range for this position is between $121,000.00 - $166,000.00 USD.
