Our Commercial Aircraft Group is looking for a Supply Chain Contracts Manager to join them. You will report to the Senior Supply Chain Contracts Manager in either our East Aurora, NY or Torrance, CA location. On-site, hybrid, and remote work schedules will be considered.

To be considered for the Supply Chain Contracts Manager role, youll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelors Degree and JD
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant contracts experience, including contract negotiating; advanced legal drafting, and familiarity with the UCC.
  • A basic understanding of international transactional principles such as export licensing, imports, INCOTERMS, VAT, tariffs, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft creative solutions to unique business problems in a collaborative environment.
  • Membership in a state bar is highly desirable.
  • Supply chain experience and familiarity with FAR and DFARS requirements is preferred.

As a Supply Chain Contract Manager, You Will

  • Provide legal support to the Commercial Aircraft Groups global Supply Chain team, resulting in supplier contracts that minimize risk and improve operational performance including reductions in lead time and inventory. This support includes reviewing proposed supplier contractual deviations, drafting contractual language and leading contract negotiations.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to highly-charged, ambiguous situations, with limited opportunity for research or consultation. These situations may involve potential disputes with suppliers. You and the Supply Chain Contracts team will be forced to develop and execute strategies based on accumulated knowledge and experience with similar situations.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of contract templates including standard Long Term Supplier Agreements, Standard Terms and Conditions of Purchase and other contract vehicles.
  • Collaborate with other Moog functional disciplines (Export, Import, Tax, Treasury, etc.) in managing the more complex aspects of international transactions including: VAT and tax implications, INCOTERMS, letters of credit, offset programs and export and import compliance.
  • Train supply chain personnel on Moog agreements, commercial and US Government terms and conditions Moog procedures; change management, risk management (including maintaining documentation related to potential supplier claims, disputes and litigation), contract provision evaluation, contractual drafting, and contract negotiations.
  • Perform the due diligence process for Moog acquisitions as related to contracting, export compliance and security. Upon closing of the acquisition, you will assist the acquired entity with U.S. Government registrations, the transfer of export licensing, assignment of contracts and novation of Moog responsibility for the acquired our government contracts.
  • Provide global support which may entail working off-hours to accommodate meetings/calls with other time zones.
  • Occasionally travel internationally and/or domestically.

Moog Space and Defense Group in East Aurora is looking for a Materials and Supply Chain Manager to bring together two key functions within our site organization, Materials and Supply Chain, with the intent of becoming more efficient with materials planning, purchasing, manufacturing and logistics processes. This position will lead the Actuation portion of the A&A Business Unit's Materials and Supply Chain Department and will report to the Operations Manager.

The Materials and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the overall management of the materials and supply chain within the WNY site to meet site, group, and corporate goals.

This position will also be responsible for the collaboration from the Actuation group in WNY to Moog cross-campus supply chain organizations where applicable per program components. Establishment of clear processes, policies, and efforts to continuously improve performance are also key requirements of this opportunity. The incumbent is expected to be a visionary for how materials and supply chain functions (production planning, logistics and supply chain) align with the overall strategy for the A&A WNY Site Operations.

We're looking for

  • A true leader, with proven capabilities in supervising and managing direct reports; including staff development and succession planning.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams for process improvements of the supply chain both within Moog and suppliers.
  • The ability to embrace new technologies/concepts and apply those through imaginative approaches.
  • Supporting sales efforts by working directly with business development personnel regarding future business opportunities as well as delivery problems as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain or equivalent Masters degree preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in the field of materials management and supply chain.
  • Thorough knowledge of ERP / MRP based material control systems.

The primary purpose of this job is to lead the Supply organization and initiatives at the plant level to drive efficiencies and cost reduction targets. Role includes leading the Supply Chain Associates performing production planning process and purchasing to ensure on time delivery and customer satisfaction. Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to Integer's Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for driving the execution of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning. Plans and monitors preparation of master schedules, production schedules, coordinating the sales and operations planning effort in the facility and, when needed, initiates the necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules.
  • Leads Lean material flow and inventory management initiatives in a proactive manner. Establishes production schedules, and devises methods and SOPs to achieve effective and efficient movement of materials and finished goods while maintaining minimum inventory investment.
  • Responsible for Plan for Every Part (PFEP) strategy and implementation. Duties include monthly and quarterly material analysis to align Kanban Material System with the Production Plans., EOL and Stranger Model material analysis, market standardization and responds to material gate calls to contain outages and root cause. Ensures Planning Associates maintain Item Master Data accuracy in Oracle ERP to support the Kanban workbench or MRP planning processes in Oracle.
  • Responsible for the Purchasing execution process at the site. Ensures the site and site Buyers are following Integer Purchasing polices with respect to purchase order approval and maintenance. Ensures Buyers work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensures Enterprise Supplier Management (SMP) processes are followed at the site and tie to site level procedures.
  • Leads site linkage to the Enterprise Supply Chain for Supplier and Supply Chain escalations, Commodity Strategy, Contracts, cost savings, savings tracker, Supply Chain Excellence and harmonized Integer supply chain strategies.
  • Acts as the liaison between operations and customer service to ensure orders are accurate and on-time delivery is met.
  • Collaborates with Enterprise Supply to identify, analyze, and resolve potential supply chain gaps or changes that may impact customer demands.
  • Effectively manage direct reports and extended reporting structure to drive on time completion of goals, and long term development of Associate potential.
  • Performs other functions as required.


Job Requirements:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business or a technical discipline. Master's degree strongly preferred.

Minimum Experience: 10+ years of experience, with 2+ years management experience in Supply Chain.

Specialized Knowledge: APICS certification. Lean Manufacturing knowledge including value stream mapping, pull systems, problem solving and 5S. Knowledge of medical device manufacturing and lean materials management also required.

Position Description:

Lead daily operations of complex and critical supply chain projects. Direct and coordinate product selection, deliveries, and subcontractor installations with internal teams.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee complex and critical project operations and ensure proper processes and procedures.
  • Lead technical sales effort for BU Business Development/Pre-Construction (e.g., client presentations, reviewing packages, package estimates, scheduling).
  • Coach and mentor SB team to develop supply chain and operational acumen and adhere to processes and procedures.
  • Oversee and make decisions related to jobsite needs with project staff for logistics, organization, layout, equipment, quality control, and scheduling and expediting delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Build trusting and productive relationships with owners, and SourceBlue (SB) and Turner project teams.
  • Establish, strengthen, and maintain relationships with vendors and serve as point of escalation and lead for complex and critical vendor and supply chain technical issues.
  • Partner with SB Preconstruction teams to assess logistics for estimating products.
  • Establish project schedules and manage through product selection, delivery, and installation; provide project status reports to management.
  • Establish, manage, and review budget and financial reporting for each project; interpret and analyze reports for adherence to project budget.
  • Collaborate with EH&S and Quality Control teams for overall site safety and quality programs. Ensure employees, subcontractors, and vendors comply with SB and Turner standards, safety codes, regulations, and jobsite security.
  • Oversee team compliance of purchasing and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Develop project-specific scopes of work for product vendors and review and validate with SB National Supply Chain team.
  • Develop bid packages for complex and critical projects and issue requests to vendors. Assess vendor bids against contract requirements and prepare bid analysis spreadsheets for project team review.
  • Assess vendor contract terms on specified packages, coordinate review with Supply Chain Business Manager and National SB Supply Chain team, close bid process, and communicate awards to vendors.
  • Coordinate vendor packages with project team and subcontractors to convey full scope of equipment procured.
  • Manage vendor submittals, factory testing, delivery of products, start-up of equipment, equipment training for owners' staff, warrantees, and record documents for purchased equipment.
  • Manage feedback to vendor and manage product issues, product delivery, installation, and/or quality working in collaboration with SourceBlue National team.
  • Participate in discussions with SB and Turner Business Unit (BU) Business Development (BD) teams and project leadership about client prospects to secure SB business opportunities.
  • Foster workplace environment where all people demonstrate the highest standards of care of each other.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial construction experience required, Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field desired, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Expertise in electrical, mechanical, or finished product technical knowledge
  • Experience in commercial construction industry and knowledge of regional market, competition, and industry trends
  • Negotiation and interpersonal relationship building skills with ability influence and engage others
  • Knowledgeable of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing and engineering principals and techniques, general contract and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, and familiar with accounting and cost control procedures
  • Project management skills, able to manage and direct others to complete high volumes of work and ability to move projects forward in complex environment and in timely manner
  • Advanced presentation and delivery skills, anticipate needs of audience, and tailor communications appropriately
  • Critical thinking skills with sound judgement decision-making
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications and collaborative tools
